After lap and dye

First thing, sorry if there is tmi in this.

I had a lap and dye last week, all went well and was uncomplicated (little bit of scaring removed). I had some spotting for the first couple of days and then nothing. Now that I'm getting more flexible I can tell that there is still stuff inside which looks like dark clots of blood/tissue (not sure). It doesn't come out unless I check if there is anything there.

Is this normal? Will it be just a case of it being there until my period flushes everything out?

Also feel really emotional, strange things bringing me down like buying new dressings only to find out that some had been stolen from the packet.
