awful!

Their not hundred per cent weather it was connected with the riots but stands a bloomin chance!!!!
A guy has been arrested related to the incident.
They were mowed down, 2 died at scene and another later in hospital. 2 brothers and a friend.

It definately was riot related. It all happened where my inlaws were. The men were out trying to protect their business from the rioters and they mounted the pavement to deliberately knock these men over. The police are now trying to cover it up to prevent backlash because it's turned more into a racial war over in brum now. There was so much racial tension here before and now because of these riots it's just exploded

if one of these people on the pics was your relations would you honestly give their name in?

Good question. I dont know what id do until i was in the situation. In all honesty it would depend on what kind of relation, if it was my mum/sister before i done anything i would need to see/speak to them! but if it was like a third cousin twice removed then yeah i probably would x

loooooool, seriously, no one in my family owns a tracksuit so i dont think we could go rioting.

some people are never happy. You moan when he doesnt do anything and then when he does you moan that its too late!

He cant win either way!!

Always someone :yellowcard:

He could win if he'd:

A - Returned from holiday sooner (really he SHOULD have returned based on the economic crisis that unfolded on Friday)
B - Authorised water cannon & baton rounds MUCH sooner
C - Not allowed the patronising c*nt that is Theresa May to come on TV and say "Oh that's not how we police in Britain". Arrogant Tw*t.
D - LISTENED to the good guys. The ones defending the goverment and police when they said on Monday that water cannons/the army were needed.

YES he has now taken some action but it's too little too late. The announcement that water cannons are available at 24 hr notice seems really an attempt to placate those that are pissed off with his lack of stronger action. Really they've ALWAYS been available at 24 hr notice. They're only in NI. All he's done is said it would be considered.

People DIED last night because they felt UNprotected on their own streets. The felt that they HAD to stand out and defend their community and neighbourhood because the police were overwhelmed. Some Yob mowed those 3 people down.

HAD Dave given the police the authority to act STRONGER, HARDER & FASTER yesterday then perhaps this could have been avoided and those 3 young men would have felt reassured and that they did not need to go out and defend their country themselves.

So yes, people ARE pissed off. Just because he has acted now we cannot be expected to just ignore his failure to agree action that most of the UK requested 2 days ago!

Added to OP

3 young men die in Birmingham last night as a result of rioters running over them

Thats one reason why I feel so angry when I see people taking pictures of the damage and stuff on their phones. Just go home or get out of the area :( your life is at risk doing that. Not that they should need to but ya know. Esp in Birmingham where gun crime is quite prevalent!

Apparently they were trying to protect there families business, so i guess they felt they needed to be there at that time!

Just seems like Londons halted and now everywhere else is starting...never imagined Brum to be so bad, i more expected Bradford/Oldham/Manc to be the main areas of trouble outside of London :(

:nope: I'm sure their parents would have rather seen their business go than their children, neices and nephews. Very sad. I guess you never think it will happen to you. Hopefully now people wont hestitate to get out of a situation before its too late.

I'm sure they would have, I'm sure the victims would have rathered that too, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. People who own businesses like that often have many lives relying on the income they receive from it and therefore feel they have to protect it.

Like I said..

'I guess you never think it will happen to you. Hopefully now people wont hestitate to get out of a situation before its too late.'

They were there with a group people from the community - protecting the area, which included shops, a church, synagog, mosque. They were joined with other members of the community to try and safeguard it.

I guess some people are not the type to sit back and watch it happen. This group were not. Hindsight is a wonderful thing - but it would be impossible to forsee that a car would mount the pavement and indiscriminately mow down people trying to do the best for their community.

I take it you are against the riot clean ups too? After all, they are people on the streets, they could easily be a target for people in a car who feel like mowing down innocent bystanders.

There is a difference between rubberneckers and those doing what they feel is right for their community. These men fall into the latter category, and to compare them to those people wanting to catch the moment someone firebombs a shop on their phone is not really fair.

Well, I disagree but nevermind. We're all entitled to our opinions. Theres a difference between people cleaning up the streets whilst riots are not taking place to people putting themselves directly in the path of active rioters.

yes I believe so too! But police wont admit that yet because they know they'v messed up and not done the correct things to stop this happening!
They'd just left Mosque for taraweeh (night prayers). some say they were protecting the mosque, others say their car wash, others say walking about protecting the neighbourhood.
Some would say their silly for getting involved but the police didnt do anything so these brave guys had to take it into their own hands!!! and look what happens... the UK police are :nope: crap!
They need to bring in foreign police... trust me..these riots would have stopped the day they started!

come on cherry stop being silly now you could get them whilst your out :dohh:

i'll just wear my leggings pulled up to my lugholes so i get the biggest fanny wedgie going.... i will fit right in.

He avoided the question. The first guy said do you think its wise cutting police and he dodged the question.

Did you hear about the idiooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot who robbed the phones from o2?

He took the ones off the front of the store... you know...the dummy ones!! looooool idiot :haha::haha::haha:

really?! some people dont have two brain cells to rub together! :dohh:

yup hahaha what a cabbage

 what a muppet hope he feels really stupid and btw cabbage is a great insult :D

if one of these people on the pics was your relations would you honestly give their name in?

100% YES i would - you cant go around saying how horrid these scum are and then just ignore it if u knew a member of family was doing it imo that makes you as bad as the rioters (sorry i wernt meaning you and YOU lol as in hypathetically imaginary person) - gosh i need sleep

Don't even get me started on Cameron, he should have come home as soon as it began to get serious. He is meant to be running this country, so when it kicked off he should have been on the first plane back. To take control and lead authroities in tackling these thugs x

1142: Northumbria Police says a missile was thrown through the window of a police station at Washington, Tyne and Wear, early this morning injuring an officer. A police car parked outside was also set on fire.

So it is coming towards Newcastle :(
