All these riots everywhere!!!

i love the pound shop
nothing like a bargain lol

not sure i'd rob it though, rather go for the
more expensive stuff personally :haha:

yeah i wouldn't rob it either. there's only so many boxes of £1 tea bags you can carry.

oh wait, here's where a carrier bag comes in handy.

seriously im like... "this is ONE pound, a pound. i can't believe it's all a pound. its amazing!"

such a sap!

:haha:

I got an umbrella in there once this is how my convo with my mate went:

Keri: Love that brolly where did you get it?
Me: Poundland cool aint it?
Keri: yeah how much was it?

Cue me pissing myself laughing. Even now it makes me laugh

Does anyone else think that people are just going to keep doing this until the water canons are out?
I'm trying to think in the way a thug would and all I keep getting is "wahay bring on the canons"
x

is anybody else surprised they showed the initiative to actually use the carrier bags there!

Get the Nigerian army in.... chop their hands off if anyone is seen thieving.... they wont be doing it again I can guarantee!!

but how will they work with no hands ...

oh wait they don't work with two :dohh:

plus they'd have to claim DLA so we'd
be giving more money to the *******s

Question, Who else has their "emergency" action plan ready to go? We have a couple of different plans depending on what time stuff was to go off

3 young men die in Birmingham last night as a result of rioters running over them

Thats one reason why I feel so angry when I see people taking pictures of the damage and stuff on their phones. Just go home or get out of the area :( your life is at risk doing that. Not that they should need to but ya know. Esp in Birmingham where gun crime is quite prevalent!

Apparently they were trying to protect there families business, so i guess they felt they needed to be there at that time!

Just seems like Londons halted and now everywhere else is starting...never imagined Brum to be so bad, i more expected Bradford/Oldham/Manc to be the main areas of trouble outside of London :(

:nope: I'm sure their parents would have rather seen their business go than their children, neices and nephews. Very sad. I guess you never think it will happen to you. Hopefully now people wont hestitate to get out of a situation before its too late.

I'm sure they would have, I'm sure the victims would have rathered that too, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. People who own businesses like that often have many lives relying on the income they receive from it and therefore feel they have to protect it.

Like I said..

'I guess you never think it will happen to you. Hopefully now people wont hestitate to get out of a situation before its too late.'

They were there with a group people from the community - protecting the area, which included shops, a church, synagog, mosque. They were joined with other members of the community to try and safeguard it.

I guess some people are not the type to sit back and watch it happen. This group were not. Hindsight is a wonderful thing - but it would be impossible to forsee that a car would mount the pavement and indiscriminately mow down people trying to do the best for their community.

I take it you are against the riot clean ups too? After all, they are people on the streets, they could easily be a target for people in a car who feel like mowing down innocent bystanders.

There is a difference between rubberneckers and those doing what they feel is right for their community. These men fall into the latter category, and to compare them to those people wanting to catch the moment someone firebombs a shop on their phone is not really fair.

Well, I disagree but nevermind. We're all entitled to our opinions. Theres a difference between people cleaning up the streets whilst riots are not taking place to people putting themselves directly in the path of active rioters.

They were not in the direct path of active rioters. They were on the pavement, these people were in a car.

I guess we just have different views on what constitutes good members of society. You seem to think that those who come together to protect, support and help (they had just extinguished a car fire according to reports) are the same as those who hang in a group on the corner to watch and film people smashing things up so they can show their mates and post it on Facebook and I happen to think they are world's apart.

I think the new coverage fuels it on occasion, if we didnt cover so much (its on 24/7).

Too many people have an input.

Haha to the pound land thing, I dont get it why rob from pound land! Its not like its expensive :dohh:

I agree with the thugs thinking "wayhey water cannons bring it on" mentality however I reckon once they start getting hit by them they would change their minds lol

helicopters should dangle stolen goods over this thugs with finishing rodes wait for them to jump up and grab the items and stick a hook through their lip and stuff them all down a very deep mine

i dunno, OH was going on about them looting boots to get some lynx shower gel. they may take the opportunity to have a shower.

So tonight is going to be another sleepless night and jumping at every sound. Fabulous.

BBC reporter at Highbury Magistrates Court, John Brain, tells BBC 5 live: "the first person who appeared in the dock this morning was a 31-year-old teacher called Alexis Bailey. She pleaded guilty to being part of the looting of the Richer Sounds store in Croydon".

they do loot crap stores dont they. I'd be heading to harvey nicks and the mulberry shop, not bloody poundland and foot locker
