All these riots everywhere!!!

SIL and I had a conversation about the riots with a few of our friends yesterday..

I said that if I knew for sure my LO had taken part in them (not likely, different country and she's only 4), I'd hand her into the police, and let them punish her.

They said if it were their LO's, they wouldn't, and that I'm cruel for saying I'd hand her into the authorities.

What is wrong with these people! :dohh:

My Dad works in a hospital and he text be just now saying they had a briefing this morning about lockdown. I really hope that won't be necessary and no trouble starts.

i'd hand my child in, would serve them right
for being a little shit head

I'd like to think the rioting is over now... It's been quieter so hopefully that's a good thing!

I wouldn't think twice about handing my child over either..I'd drag them down to the police station myself as well if I had to..
x

I'd hand my child in. Like I said in a previous post, it was literally a few miles from my home and I was absolutely pooping myself that it would end up closer, they added to that fear by doing what they did. If it were family it wouldnt make a difference. Id like to think so anyway.

Police are appealing for help from the public following a suspicious house fire in Wallsend.

Officers were called to Derwent Gardens in Wallsend at 3.15am on Thursday, August 11 and found the ground floor flat on fire. The officer, forced entry to an upstairs flat to help a woman resident to safety, she was uninjured and the ground floor flat was empty.

The fire service attended and extinguished the fire which is being treated as suspicious. The cause of the fire is still being established.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to get in contact.

I hope this isn't some youth rebelling thing. I live in Wallsend :(

A 21-year-old woman has been arrested for inciting others to commit disorder.
The arrest came after police monitored social networking sites after receiving intelligence.
The woman, of Hebburn, South Tyneside, has been bailed pending further enquiries.
T/ACC Dave Pryer said: "We are proactively monitoring all social networking site and will continue to maintain a robust approach to anyone suspected of being engaged in or inciting public disorder."
