Apparently Blackberry are cutting their services tonight, I am not sure how true it is.

IDK but there was a rumour on Sunday about BBM getting shut off and we are all aware how true that turned out to be

i think those thugs shouldnt go to prison, might as well send the on holidays. they should be frog marched down the streets that they damaged with signs on them of what they did. also their parents should be made walk with them. maybe throw a few rotten eggs at them too. NAME AND PROPERLY SHAME THEM. then off to boot camp.

I think they should be put in prison with NOTHING. No bed, no pillows, no duvet, no luxuries like snooker tables and television. Absolutely nothing. Hoy them in a cell, a cold cell where they'll sleep on the floor, sod giving them a toilet, they can use the corner of the room. And they can be given half a breadcrumb a day. See how they feel having everything taken away from them. Absolute scumbags.

Yeah they can shut down their BBM network, they have been asked to by MP's already but didnt do it.

They will just suspend the service.

Who knows. I think if they shut down BBM they need to suspend Twitter and FB too.

i don't want this to sound like it's going to sound, but BBM would have the most impact. as soooo many people i know of that 'type' use BBM like, 24/7. so i think it would def change a lot of things.

3 young men die in Birmingham last night as a result of rioters running over them

Thats one reason why I feel so angry when I see people taking pictures of the damage and stuff on their phones. Just go home or get out of the area your life is at risk doing that. Not that they should need to but ya know. Esp in Birmingham where gun crime is quite prevalent!

Apparently they were trying to protect there families business, so i guess they felt they needed to be there at that time!

Just seems like Londons halted and now everywhere else is starting...never imagined Brum to be so bad, i more expected Bradford/Oldham/Manc to be the main areas of trouble outside of London

I'm sure their parents would have rather seen their business go than their children, neices and nephews. Very sad. I guess you never think it will happen to you. Hopefully now people wont hestitate to get out of a situation before its too late.

I'm sure they would have, I'm sure the victims would have rathered that too, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. People who own businesses like that often have many lives relying on the income they receive from it and therefore feel they have to protect it.

They were there with a group people from the community - protecting the area, which included shops, a church, synagog, mosque. They were joined with other members of the community to try and safeguard it.

I guess some people are not the type to sit back and watch it happen. This group were not. Hindsight is a wonderful thing - but it would be impossible to forsee that a car would mount the pavement and indiscriminately mow down people trying to do the best for their community.

I take it you are against the riot clean ups too? After all, they are people on the streets, they could easily be a target for people in a car who feel like mowing down innocent bystanders.

There is a difference between rubberneckers and those doing what they feel is right for their community. These men fall into the latter category, and to compare them to those people wanting to catch the moment someone firebombs a shop on their phone is not really fair.

I think CS gas would work better than water cannons personally. I havent seen camerons speech though so dont know what was said.
