My brother is in the army (TA) and his commanding officer has said to be on standby as they may well be called upon. So he has got all his combat gera ready. Do you think they will call them out? x

My Dad just text me he works in London [near Elephant and Castle] Police have told his whole office to go home as its now kicking off round the corner from there in Walworth.
I think everybody should be allowed to go home [even me!]

Just confirmed to the commanding officer that the met may be calling upon them tonight. His kit is packed and ready as is the rest of his regiments. Hope they do call them in tbh x

Strathclyde Police have said they arrested a 16 year old boy in Glasgow for trying to encourage riots.

525 arrests since Saturday and more than 100 charged already!!

Yeah Glasgow has been surprisingly quiet through this........

I think there was talk of speeding up the processing of them at the police stations to cope with what's been going on

It's starting up again in London. Don't know many specifics or how large scale, but there's fires in Wimbledon. My best mate from uni is there. Was searching for the places my uni mates live last night and the only one was Enfield. Now Wimbledon as well

Sounds like it, he has been told to pack for combat. Sounds selfish but I am so worried about him I don't think they are allowed to take guns, just riot gear x

BTW I hate how the BBC and Sky have since this morning focused only on Ealing and Clapham probably because they are rich areas, many other areas of London were seriously damaged and looted last night, Hackney was the main one and I have no idea what is going on there now, and in Ilford, Barking and around there there were looting, fires and roadblocks set up by rioters if it wasn't for LBC and relatives there you'd have no idea xx

LBC this morning didnt even mention Croydon on their news. Lol. Sky news has focused on Ealing all bloody day lol

not all that far I'm afraid; especially considering how rioting spread last night to areas of Kent and the very far south of London/Surrey borders (Oxted is in Surrey) xx
