All these riots everywhere!!!

We couldn't seriously make him look any more daft than he already does do u think?

:muaha:

I don't think it's right for the police to use any tactics they fancy regardless. You can't see (or them know) what every individual has been up to and no matter what they've done it isn't right for them to be subject to gratuitous violence. We don't live in a society that endorses eye for an eye tactics. Force used should be the minimum necessary to obtain an arrest regardless of the crime. You want to see police officers kicking the living daylights out of 10 year olds for example?

As for the parenting question, I don't see the need to adopt a different technique in light of the riots. I'm satisfied with how I parent regardless. If any if my children get out if hand then I'll react accordingly depending on the situation. These people aren't the majority.

Yeah i would see a police officer hitting a 10 year old with a batten. IF they had being violent/abusive or criminal in anyway.
These children out looting should be at home!

Seriously? You really think 10 year olds should be held criminally accountable? Not old enough to have sex or earn money or be responsible for decisions about their education etc but their own fault if they're engaged in criminal activity and deserving of a beating with a batton? The police are not judge and jury, their job is remove offenders so that others can decide of their culpability and punishment.

if a 10 year old is looting and setting things
a blaze damn right they should kick his arse

he should be playing football not playing with matches

:growlmad:

I wouldn't like to see a 10 year old being beaten but appropriate restraint should be used to stop them. These 'children' have been violent, set fire to buildings, put peoples lives at risk and petrified residants. They need to be stopped obviously once they are restrained ( the restraint should be appropriate) then no more needs to be done. They know full well what they are doing is wrong, I don't want to see them badly hurt but they need to be stopped. My 3 year old nephew was shaking in his mothers arms the other night when these 'children' decided to go on a rampage x

random question .. who the hell is John Smeaton?

there's pages on fb and i've no idea who he is

But they know what they are doing is wrong?like I said previously why should they get let off just because they are younger?x

This is the video - Ok on a normal day this would be unacceptable but the PM has TOLD them to be robust and use whatever tactics they feel necessary. They handled this right IMHO!

Ee bless them, they've done the best they can to protect us all. My heart goes out to every member on duty last night, hospital and fire staff included.

If they can smash up shops, steal, set things alite & generally ruin Britain, then they should be punished, it's the mentality that their only 10 or whatever that makes the little shits use it to their advantage.

10 years old is not old enough to be responsible!! Their parents/guardians are responsible for them. I'm astonished anyone could truly believe otherwise.
