Always hungry

Does anyone elses baby seem ALWAYS hungry? Jayden has 6oz every 2-3 hours, which works out about 42oz in 24hours as he doesn't sleep the night, he was in 3-6 clothes by 8 weeks and now there isn't much room in them! Will he slow down? lol, the rate he is going he will be in 9-12 by xmas!

Also he has been on hungry baby milk since 2 week old as he was draining 4oz every 1-2 hours day and night

Wow what a hungry little guy No advice really as we've kinda had the opposite problem but if you're feeding on demand I don't see that there can be anything wrong with how much he's taking.
His size will problem even out once he starts crawling about so he won't be gaining weight as quickly.Also when you start weaning obviously milk consumption will go down.

But I wouldn't worry at all,he obviously just loves his milk

He always has from day one lol, i remember in the hospital he downed 2oz on his first feed! Think i need to get baby clothes shopping, i assumed 3-6 would last him till about christmas! how are you hun?x

thats exactly what nicole drinks and shes on HBF too. im exhausted from making bottles. shes also in 3-6months babygros and shes getting too big for them, shes in 6-12mths clothes!! its mostly the leg length i have problems with, shes taking after her dads side of the family, my son is 12yrs old and is 5 foot 9!!

Ah, glad i'm not the only one! Bought loads of 3-6 clothes and i dont think he will get to wear them all! He is quite long and has been in 3-6 babygro's and vests since 4 week old lol xx

I came to this part of the forum specifically because I have this question too! lol

Although my LO is only just over a week, it looks like she's gonna be just like yours...allllways hungry. She's sucking her fist right now waiting for another bottler..an hr later!

Mind you, i think the way we can look at it is its better them drinking the milk than not having it at all, even if they do guzzle

Haley is 15 weeks and in 6-9 month day clothes and 9-12 month sleepers...she eats 7 6oz bottles a day, plus a little rice in some of her bottles to help with spit up and vomit, then for lunch she gets a half jar of stage 1 food, but with your LO only being 8 weeks I might mention it to his pediatrician to see what options you may have.

He was on 7oz yesterday, and i think it was too much for him as he kept bringing it all back up, but then again he has always brought it back up since he was born, but the HV just say he's on too much milk :/ i've got a 10 week check up for him tomorrow so will mention it then
