Am I pregnant? Do my symptoms match the ones you had?

So, I'm fifteen and I'm on birth control, but lately I've been really sick.
This was my first pack as I've just of late been having sex with my boyfriend, and after the placebo week (I didn't take any of them because I was enjoying the break) I messed myself up and have been constantly taking the pill up to two hours later than I usually do.

But the thing is, while I was on my period/placebo week, my period ended on the sixth day. My boyfriend and I had sex the next day and, of course, I wasn't on my period but I wasn't on the pill.

Fast forward to a week later and I've been getting this:
Hunger cravings
Food aversions (even with the foods I'm craving)
Middle of the night insomnia
Nausea
Abdominal pain (not stabbing)
(some) Indigestion (usually accompanied by ab pain)

So I know those symptoms could easily belong to a plethora of things, but it just adds up a lot.

Is it possible to get pregnant right after your period but right before your next pill?
I read on Yahoo that the pill wouldn't effect your baby, so I guess if I am pregnant then the fact that I've been taking the pill (in the loosest terms)(due to my forgetfulness from the sickness) wouldn't have affected my condition.

And on a note of the food business-- The day this started, I had gotten back from the gym (wasn't doing any hard work, just yoga and light cardio) with my mom and we went grocery shopping afterward and I just felt, very quickly and abruptly, so very hungry. It was painful, I'd never been so hungry before, not to mention that before I was at the gym I was watching movies with my boyfriend and I stuffed myself on pizza!
So we went to McDonald's, and I got a chicken sandwich and large fries.
The fries, tasted like sawdust completely. I was literally barfing them up a tiny bit, but no matter how many I ate I was still so hungry!
The sandwich? I couldn't even taste it.
It was all so bizarre.

But due to me being sick in the past three days (it's been four days since the previously mentioned) I haven't eaten much more than some toast and two apples.

Does this sound familiar to anyone who's been pregnant before?
Quite frankly, I'm scared if I am pregnant, I am no where near ready to raise a child.
And even if I'm not-- Off sex forever.

Thank you! :help:

ETA: I won't be having my period until the 25th, and I'm not too eager to test, but I will. I just would like some comfort for now to hear the possibility.

its not usually possible to get pg just b4 ur period,,,,most women ovulate (relise there egg) around 14days after last period, the only real way of knowing hun is to test :hugs:

You are still fully protected while you are taking the placebo pills (or if you choose not to take them) as long as you start taking the next pack of pills after 7 days. While your symptoms do sound like pregnancy symptoms, they may also be a reaction to the pill - some people do suffer similar symptoms due to the increased hormones in their body as a result of taking the pill, and if they continue it might be worth going back to the doctor to ask about a different one. It's also a good idea to use condoms as well as the pill, as no form of contraceptive is 100% effective.

I do think it's unlikely that you are pregnant, as the pill should stop you from ovulating if taken correctly (and I assume you have been taking it every day - are you supposed to take it at exactly the same time each day?) but if your symptoms continue, take a test in a couple of weeks x

You was protected when u had your placebo BUT by being sick u may not be protected now plz take extra procautions xxx

I seriously think the pill is messing with your body and, in many cases, it will do that when you first start taking it.

Ovulation normally occurs for most women 14 days after their period, however, it has been known that some women ovulate earlier, even on the last day of their period.

Another thing, pregnancy symptoms don't generally arrive at 1-2 weeks after conception. Especially that many that you listed above.

Honestly though, I don't think you are pregnant but if concerned, do wait until your period is late and test.

Not to sure hun, i think u may of been protected, the only way u will know is if u take a test if ur REALLY worried.

I know the title says "Am I pregnant?", but to be fair this isn't just another "Help - I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend...am I pregnant?" thread as she was just asking for advice about the pill and if the symptoms she was having sounded familiar to people who were pregnant.

Could be hun, but I highly doubt it. It's ok if you take the pill 2hrs late, won't matter! Thanks for being one of the few who are actually on birth control!!

If you don't like the questions, then don't respond. These girls are probably scared and don't know whom to turn to. Weren't you scared when you found out you were pregnant at 16?

 @ replies.

I had symptoms before I tested, and I "just knew" I was pregnant. Take a test when your periods due. Fingers crossed for the result you want.

I think its unlikey.

I didnt have any symptoms until after I POAS.

Good luck, I hope it turns out how you want it.

100% agreed. Comment is completely out of line. This section is here for any teen who has any questions about a possible pregnancy.

To respond to the OP : I got symptoms at about 5-6 weeks pregnant and then I tested.
Personally I think the body is just adjusting to the pill which has similar side effects.
If you are late for your period test and you'll know for sure. Good luck!

I believe you should be fine. though nothing is 100%..it's highly unlikely that you got pregnant during that time...like the other ladies said, it's probably just the pill messing with your hormones. it usually takes a couple packs before your body gets used to it and everything gets normal again..and if it doesn't you should talk to your doc about trying another pill..
If you're still concerned, go ahead with a test anyway..can't hurt at all.
