Am I really ovulating with a positive OPK??

Hi ladies. I've been ttc #1 for the past 2 years with no luck. Every month when I'm ov'ing we have sex every other day once I see that positive and sometimes even a couple of days begore I see the positive. I'm just wondering if I'm truly ov'ing every month when the OPK gives me a positive. What do you all think??

Also, does anyone have cramping around ovulation time on one side of their groin? Does this usually mean you are ov'ing? I'm just so frustrated right now. I just don't know why it's taking so long. Btw, we were both checked by a FS and I'm fine and DH sperm are good but not great. Anyway, any advice would be great. Thanks

it's difficult to say if you ovulate without temping, try temping for a couple of cycles and it will became clear or you can also do 21 day blood test which can confirm ovulation. it is possible to have positive OPK and not ovulate.

Yes, I think what Briss says makes good sense. Try temping, and would it be possible to get a tracking cycle done? I'm toward the end of mine, and when my blood indicated I was getting close to O they brought me in for an ultrasound so we could see the ovary that was active. Then, the 3 dpo and 6 dpo progesterone confirmed it. Pretty cool!

My doctor confirmed my suspicion of this. He said that even with a positive OPK it's just an LH surge and nothing more. You MAY NOT be ovulating every cycle.

I would start temping

I get that pain every month, I know it means I'm ovulating but I always try to confirm it by taking my temperature just for my own peace of mind.

I just want to share my experience last cycle - pos opk and thermal shift but my 8dpo labs were 2.8 - this either indicated NO ovulation or a shit egg ovulation.. This was my weirdest experience!!
