I know i am a pro by now and that some people think they just fall out but i love and enjoy laboring and delivering. I dont mind the pain although at time is very bad but i know at the end i will have this wonderful baby in my arms(or in most cases whisked away to the nicu) The urge to push and pushing the baby out is so intense and painful but when they are out its all over and your left feeling incredible and all the weight and pressure is gone. I cant really explain what i want to say but its just so pleasing, not in a orgasmic way, like i know some women experience, but i just love it.

Well - I am looking forward to it - assuming things go the way I have it planned out in my head! But - we'll see!

I am because it means I get my baby so it's exciting yet also a bit scary and I obv don't want to be in pain but at the same time do if it means I get my baby :cloud9:

No, I am looking forward to it and apart from a blip in the early 20 weeks, I have always been looking forward to it. I KNOW it will be painful, but I truly believe it is a case of mind over matter in a lot of ways and that the pain won't last forever. :)

YAY I am looking forward to it as well, I am currently listening to my natal hypnotherapy so maybe its the hypnosis talking..:haha: x x x

this is my first and for some reason i am looking forward to it
like i know its gonna be a little painful but im lookingf forward to it so i can have my baby here at last

I am with you - I am looking forward to it. I did with my first as well. I never did have a fear of labor and after going through it I still have no worries. It went very well for me, smoothly and without complications....I felt like a superhero giving birth to a 10 pound baby in 5 and a half hours with no pain meds. I'm excited to do it again.

I was excited with my first but now that i know what to expect im not excited at all. Im way more scared then the first time. I think its because i had such a tough labour and turned all the drugs down

I posted this in response to another thread, but I will post it here too:

I always say, that I have been 'preparing for a marathon for 9 months'......

I look at a labor as a challenge for me......

I think maybe because I played sports.....but, you get an AMAZING PRICELESS GIFT in the end ......your child~*

p.s- birthing a child is very empowering for a woman~*

I am too. I've seen (in person) natural childbirth so I'm not really worried about things going normally. I am a bit worried about things like maybe having to have a C-section (move placenta move!) or having to be induced. Other than that I'm really excited about it though.

I love labor and giving birth. YES its painful but its an amazing experience also!

Well, if you're wacko for feeling that way, you're not alone,.. and Im another wacko :winkwink:. This will be my 5th labour, and Im excited! A little worried about the pain cuz I remember (even though they say you forget) but yes, the best part is pushing, and seeing you baby for the first time! Its an experiance I could do over and over again, and never get enough! Well, other then a shit wack of kids :haha: I just wonder when Im gonna stop having babies

i am looking forward to it i have arranged to stay at home cause i remember being at home being the best part of my labour last time i loved being able to jus disolve into myself i loved the whole experiance last time! yes it hurt at the end but it was soooo worth it!!

I'm looking forward to it too. I've never done it before, but I reckon it's just about the most amazing thing a woman can do and I feel privileged that I'll have the opportunity.

Thanks for posting this thread. So many people are negative about childbirth, but I'm sure it doesn't have to be that way (as all these posts from multiple Mums prove).

I'm looking forward to it! We have a bottle of champagne in the fridge so we can toast our baby when I get my first contraction (one of my favourite tips from NCT class!)!! I will be really interested to see how I cope with the pain. I just can't wait to meet my baby, and anything that is going to lead to that has to be welcomed with open arms!!!

Bring it on!!!

:)

I am so excited I can't wait! I'm not scared yet just ready:)

Your not the only one, I would go through labour and birth again any day as I loved it (not in an orgasmic way) but I just don't want anymore children xx
