Am i the only wacko who is looking forwards to labor?

I'm super excited as well!!! :happydance:

Haven't done it before though so might change my mind!! hahaha People tell me I'm crazy for looking forward to it, but I just think its going to be one of the most intense experiences ever! Fingers crossed all will go to plan!

I can't wait either. I've got my ball, tens machine and my natal hypnotherapy CD and am ready to go :happydance:

I am SOOOOO excited, bring it on, I say!
Just can't wait for the empowerment labouring and birth will bring. So dying to meet this little person I have inside me, nervous too about whether we will be able to parent in the way we have always hoped we will. We shall see.

I am REALLY looking forward to labour! Can't wait :happydance:

I'm looking forward to it, not because I want to go through the experience (because honestly, I could manage without it), but because I want to meet this baby now; find out whether it's a boy or a girl, and of course be done with all the discomfort.

The last few weeks are going to go so slowly for me

i'm pretty friggin' excited myself. it's my first, so i'm sure it's because i have no idea what i'm in for but i'm lookinhg forward to experiencing it. and i'm looking forward to meeting my daughter!!

I'm really really excited and can't wait for it to start happening. I'm scared about some parts, like the baby not being OK and for some reason the idea of the placenta coming away makes me feel funny  but apart from that, cannot wait

This is such a brilliant thread! Being my first time, I go from being absolutely terrified about the whole labour thing, to being completely excited. I can't wait to experience what's supposed to be one of the most amazing and natural things in a woman's life - and yet I can't imagine how a baby's ever going to fit out of down there! :haha:

After the baby is born, you wont be thinking about the pain and the after birth. or the stitches you might need you will be so into your baby that everything just fades away and its just you and him/her.
For the new mothers...
Its ok if you try natural childbirth and then want pain relief. Its your time and your experience and its so understanding that if you want this birth to be special, you have to make sure you are comfortable to make it a birth you want to remember. With my first, i was 18 and terrified, not at first but when i knew i was on my way to to hospital to have her. I had a short 7 hr active labor(although i was in labor the whole day before, i didnt start feeling the strong contractions until the hospital) and i did get the epidural that didnt work and it wasnt the experience i had wanted. I would say just go with the flow and take every moment at a time. it is easier to not have a birthing plan b/c most times its not what happens.
