Amnio Test

I am pregnant with my third child, 38 years old (will be 39 in April). My doctor asked me if I wanted to have an amnio test done and I said yes.

Has anyone had this test done? Can you please tell me of your experience?

Yes, duh, I could have done a search and I did one. Thanks! LOL Doesn't sound like a fun procedure but I guess it's better to know.

Hi, yeah, i had the test done last week, got my results yesterday, all is cool!
Good luck with it! i definatly have it again with future children and skip the triple blood test as mine came back positive and my amnio came back fine! worry for nothing! xxx

I just noticed this thread a little too late- I had an amnio over a week ago and am getting the results on Thursday. I'm so happy for you that everything came out well for you!
What you described with the Triple Test is exactly the reason I decided to bypass that and go straight to the Amnio- it's still a little unnerving though!
