another clomid ? related to ovulation

no i never got a positive opk yet, and i am on cd 17 now. ggrrrr. we have been bd every day or 2 since cd 10. i had those cramps though for 3 days and now they are gone! i don't know what to think...

I'm on cycle day 17,and still no + opk or any other sign that I will have ovulation.We still can hope for the next 3-4 days anyway.Lets hope.

Hi.I don't know what to think now.I've got a + opk today,but I'm really sick.I'm vomiting,I have a very bad headache,and I have a very low energy today. What do you think? Maybe it is a false positive.Can it be?

if it is cd 20 and you o'd early early on, you may get a pos pg test. test! if your opks keep staying positive, that is a very very good sign.

I've done opk today and it's negative,and I still did not ovulate.
I had my blood test today and will see what they say,but I know I didn't ovulate because my temperatures very low.Pregnancy test negative too.
How are you? What happening with you?

thought you got positive yesterday? ????. i 'm ok. i'm just ticked this didn't work this month. i feel like i wasted yet another month trying. my doctor is getting stubborn with me, so i don't know if he will up the dosage or not. i bet he will make me try the 50 mg again. i have to make the appt next wk, so we will see what he says. you still sick????? i would bd today and tomorrow just to make sure you don't miss it. i'm curious to hear what the doc told you.....

May I join you? I am waiting to start my first cycle of Clomid (just waiting for AF to get me). Ironically this is the longest cycle I've experienced in ages - day 43 today - definitely not preg though. My cycles are normally 30-35 days in length.
I have PCOS, but I do ovulate on my own. However, I o really late (it was day 37 this month I think!) and my luteal phase is at best 9 days - but I tend to spot from 5dpo.
I have got three cycles' worth of Clomid ready to go, together with a pack of 20 Clearblue digital OPKs! I have been told to take 50mg days 2-6 and come in for an ultrasound on day 10. I have to use OPKs days 10-20 to confirm ovulation and BD every other day between days 10-20 too. I will probably start temping again too (gave it up last month as it was such a hassle).
I was told (by a lady on another forum) that taking it at night might be helpful to minimise some of the potential side-effects?

hi mrshy! of course you can join us sorry to hear about your pcos. did your doc write you a script for 3 refills??? wish mine would have did that. i have to go back every month to see what he wants to do. yes, temping is a hassle. i don't do it because of the way i work. as far as the side effects, i took the clomid everyday around 1 pm. i really didn't experience anything but occasional hot flashes. glad you could join us! good luck to all of us!!!

Hi LesleyL! I went to the doc(GP). they told me that I didn't ovulate and I have to wait for AF.If AF won't show up I will have to induce it with progesterone pills. Oh and they think I'm sick because this just a side effect of the clomid.But didn't do ultra sound so I don't understand how do they know.Anyway I have 50 mg clomid for 1 more month,will see what happen. I hope next month will work for us then,at least you not sick.

Oh Lesley L,I forgot to write earlier that doc told me just because my OPK was positive it does not mean that ovulation happened.He said people with pcos have often positive ovulation test,but not actually ovulate.Little confusing.

andeia- i have been reading other ladies saying that on here also....about the false positives. that sucks that you got sick from it. i wonder why it happened so late in your cycle????

I have had side effect.. back pain, weird feeling while trying to sleep like dizziness, loss of appetite, cramping feelings like AF is about to show. Blah sucks! No headaches though.. I usually hear women complain about headaches lol. Thanks I hope it works for me as well! I don't usually ovulate on my own and I took my pills days 5-9 when did you take yours?

So this cycle didn't work for you? Are you on 50 mg?

Yes 50 mg,and no didn't work for me.Waiting for Af to show up,but I may have to induce it with progesterone pills if it won't come until cycle day 35.I'm not sure what to do,because I have to take clomid 50 mg next cycle again.But I'm so sick on this cycle,I don't think it will be better on the next one,but I will try. I hope none of you will have the same problem as me.

Aww poor thing I'm sorry it didn't work but I hope it helps you ovulate this time around!! It's a dread when you have to wait something out like waiting for a period to show... uhhh!

andeia..you made me feel a little better saying that sometimes ppl don't get the positive but still ovulate. i don't think i did though. i am going to take a pg test in about 5 days...if nothing then back to the doc to get my provera and 2nd round of clomid

LesleyL - don't give up hope!

I am in the same boat as you. Originally I had not been getting AF naturally, so my doc diagnosed me with amenorrhea & then gave me provera, progesterone injections (to induce period) and then clomid 150mg --- 3 rounds I didn't O nor did I get a natural AF. I was devistated.

My husband and I decided to just wait it out a few more months and let my body adjust. The VERY next month (approx 45 days later) I got my period on my own! I was so ecstatic since I hadn't had one in 2 years after going off the pill.
I waited a few cycles and decided to try Clomid once more before going to a fertility specialist.
I recently started my fourth round (May 11), but my cycles are about 40-45 days, so I'm not sure if it will work this time (once again). I know how impatient and difficult the entire situation can be...try to stay optimistic and your body will feed off your positivity!
