I've looked through a couple of dozen 'potty' threads already, but not found one that really fits. Our LO, 17 months, has for the last couple of weeks been telling us when she's filled her nappy: she pats the nappy area and says "pot-pot, pot-pot!" I think she's doing this as soon as she's pooed, or possibly even still during, as when I get the nappy off the contents are all in one lump rather than spread all over nappy and bum. We're highly chuffed, because we've been trying to teach her this word by saying 'pot-pot' every time we take her to be changed, and it's worked! Now, however, I'm not sure where we go from here. Is she already advanced enough to sit on a potty, or should we wait until she's telling us that she's about to poo, not that she just has? What sort of potty would you recommend - the ones I've seen so far seem ever so tiny for our big sturdy girl? Or should we go straight to a toilet trainer seat?
