Antibiotics 18 weeks safe???

Hi!!Just looking to see if any other ladies have been on antibiotics in pregnancy and been ok!Was prescribed yesterday cefalexin antibiotics for possible uti...docs says there safe etc but it jst does not feel right taking them whilst pregnant!
Need reassurance on this one

yes its fine, ive been on them twice, they wouldnt give them to you if they weren't safe!

It is fine to take antibiotics. I've taken them twice between 12-15 weeks and now my OB put me on another antibiotics (macrobid) for the rest of my pregnancy to prevent future UTI in this pregnancy.

I was on antibiotic for 4 weeks when I was 21 weeks pregnant last time round. Didn't do any harm and I'm sure my consultant wouldn't have given me them for so long if they could!
