Antibiotics around ovulation time

Hi

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I have a minor infection of my wisdom tooth gum and i think they will prescribe me metronidizole tomorrow as that it usually the antibiotic of choice for this. Do you know if taking this may affect my ovulation?

I am on CD 11 tomorrow and hoping to ovulate around CD15.

I haven't heard of it interfering with ovulation, but I do think antibiotics have been proven to make birth control fail. So I think you're safe. You could always ask your dr just to make sure.
