Hi
I have just been prescribed antibiotics (Trimethoprim) for a Urinary tract infection. I have to take 2 a day for 7 days (until next Wed). I'm ovulating on Sunday (day 4 of antibiotics) - do you think these are safe enough to take? Ive read you cant take them in 1st Tri of pregnancy cos the are folate blockers and can cause other problems (cleft palate). Im sure If by some miracle I get lucky this month then the egg wont even have implanted by next Wednesday so there shouldnt be any reason why I can't take them?
What do you think? Any thoughts?
