thanks ladies, it all helps to make a decision reading your fav names! there are so many beautiful though that i am happy to have a looong time to decide:)

my fave irish name is Aiofe.

its so pretty but its my neices middle name so couldnt use it, her first name is neive.

my inlaws are from cork in ireland and kept askin us to pick an irish name but we couldnt find one we loved enough that hadnt already been used.

Both of my children have Irish names, Kian and Niamh (almost called Maeve). There are some fab irish names although i know what you mean about pronounciatian (sp!) We have to go to alot of hospital appointments with Niamh and they rarely get her name right (usually Niomi or Niam).
 
my mums irish hence sinead (sha-nade) i guess i like it as ive always been only one livin in the uk and love the fact me E has accent over it
most of the cuzens all have names that have been mentioned apart from
cliodhna (clay-na) which i totally love and its rare. the o has a accent over it and the A i think but not to sure.
eoghan is also nice
and my cuzen who was named after his dad is called conor oge which means young conor x
