Any ladies 34 & older have the CVS test done?

Okay so 2wks ago I got the CVS test (Chronic Villus Sampling) done, and they told me as of a lil over a year ago, they are now able to tell you the gender of your baby when the results come back (well if you want to know). And that it's 100% accurate. I was just wondering if any of you ladies had this testing done and found out what gender you baby is? Also, how long did it take to get the results? They told me 3weeks, and I don't have long to wait. I'm just so anxious...lol.

Hi,

I'm only 30 but had CVS done previously and yes u can find out the gender because of the chromosomes. We found out our baby was a girl from that test. We got our results after 2 days but that was because it was bad news and they usually contact u quickly if something is wrong. The longer u need to wait the better the results I think . Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to hear that you have gotten bad news. I pray that everything is ok with you and baby. I still haven't heard anything back about my results yet and the 14th business day is this coming Tuesday.

Thank u. Thus happened to me last year. I am now pregnant again and 27 weeks along and everything seems fine this time. ..FX.
