Any membrane sweeping success stories?

Hello ladies,

As some of you already know that I had my membrane sweep done this morning at around 11am @ 38 weeks + 3 days along. I was told that I was dilated a half cm. Now I'm not sure how far along I am dilated.

My OB told me that it could be anytime, today, tomorrow or few days later. As he already could tell that I'm having contractions coming along. Not very painful ones but uncomfortable ones.

I came home & did lots of walking. Now my pelvic bones, between my legs is more painful. I'm feeling more pressure pain down there & crampy throughout the day. My belly throughout the day is tightening too.

I am wondering for those who had a membrane sweep, any success stories??

When did you go into labour after a membrane sweep??

With my 2nd DS I was only 1/2 cm dilated when I had my sweep done...I came home and sat on my exercise ball for the whole night watching tv...next morning my water broke.

My OHs aunt had a sweep on her due date and went into labour a few hours later

I had a sweep with my second daughter around 3pm in the afternoon and delivered at 9am the next morning

Worked for me, took 24 hours or so, I didn't know I was in labor though because it was my first. Just thought I was having awful constipation
