So I handed all the forms in today, I start last week in September. I'm so excited, but nervous too :(
I just don't know how I'm going to juggle everything. LO will be 5 months old when I start and will hopefully be going to nursery to fit round my hours, possibly 3 half days a week. My OH works such random hours that I won't have help on a night as that's when he teaches and gigs. I can't leave him with my mum as it isn't fair as she already has my little brother who is nearly two.
How do you mummys juggle it? Does everything just work itself out? X

You'll manage hun. I did an access course last year and worked. You just juggle it and manage!! Possibly starting uni September too. Gl :) xx

I'm starting Early Childhood Studies in September as well! I'm doing it part-time though, so it's one afternoon/evening per week and hubby will look after the children. It's been 5 years since last time I was at uni so I have no idea how it's all going to work out. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine!

I went back when DD was 3 days old - so I can tell you it does work. You'll have to basically acknowledge to yourself that you'll have almost no free time and that spare minutes are to be spent studying! Don't feel like you have to make an event out of studying...a few minutes in a waiting room, a few minutes in the morning, and a few waiting for dinner to cook will help. You can even study when breastfeeding (I don't know if you still are).

I start back at the end of the month. I took off when I was pregnant. Not sure how I'm going to manage math, english and anatmy with a baby!

:hugs: You'll do just fine. I'm finishing up my math degree this coming year that I started in my last trimester with LO.

Just believe in yourself - corny as it might sound.

Oh math degree would be hard! I am really bad with math and have to really work hard on it. I would like to think with a baby, these semesters I would be more quickly to d them on time instead of waiting till the deadlines to do them :) This year will be a piece of cake compared to after prerequisits and going to the radiology program.

I'm not at university but I do own my own business so sometimes spend whole days away from my LO (there have been times when I have only seen her when giving her her midnight bottle).

I have to schedule EVERYTHING- what we need shopping wise, what date this happens, what date that happens and it works. I do have my mum looking after 3 days a week when she is here and nursery the two other days but I would manage just sticking her in nursery but seems silly when mum is off those three days and really wants to do it. Its mums nursery too so the NNs are usually quite flexible with me- won't make a huge fuss if i'm 20 minutes late picking her up or whatever.

I have a cleaner who does the housework- I just don't have time for it. She comes in two days a weeks and blitzes the place for £60- hoovering, clean bathrooms, laundry loads done, kitchen clean, beds changed.

I am assuming you will have set hours? I work by set hours: M, T, W I will work from 8am-7pm, T and F I will work from 10-4 and then sometimes I have things in the evenings too and Saturday I will work 10-7 as she is at her dads. You have to plan other things around it and I have to put everything into the calender on my iPad and everything fits in.

You will of course have your weekends free- make Saturday your food shopping and cleaning day (thats what I would do) and any other errands you need to do- like visiting grandparents, cleaning car etc.

If the work load is anything like my sisters course (she is doing Primary school teaching) then you are going to need 15 hours a week for self study- i'm sure thats pretty much the amount a university will recommend anyway. You won't get it done with a baby around I will tell you that for nothing- and if you don't do your work then well I think you know what will happen!

If it was me I would probably keep LO in Nursery full time.

I'm just about to start my 4th year of my honours degree, I have a dissertation to start, I work 25 hours a week, and I've just found out that I'm pregnant! I have no idea how I'm going to do it, especially with the baby's due date being a week or so before my final exams, but I'm going to try.

I go back Monday :/ im not looking forward to it. Im taking way to many difficult classes but it was either take them and graduate in a few or not go back. I barely have any classes left. My oh starts college Saturday but he's going online (lucky!)

I was in the same boat aa you last semester (kind of) had to keep 4.0 and 16 hours and I was very pregnant. Gave birth to the baby a month after finals. It was not easy. I quit work actually bc college was way to hard. Just push through it :) get rest when you. Can

I go back at the end of setember aswell and im so so excited to be me again! Im sure we will be fine hun because you have to manage so you will :)

I know it's not quite the same but after having Toby I was at college and it was scary going back to it but you just sort of get into the rhythm. Don't worry you'll find a balance and it'll be fine. I'm a little worried about having to juggle work, uni work and kids but I'm prepared for it to take a while to find a balance and for it to be a struggle at first. As long as you know that your house may get a little messier than normal lol and you may be a little more tired but it'll just become normal after a while. Good luck x

I start back in 3 weeks after taking a year out to have LO. He's now 8 months and will go to the UNi nursery. What I plan on doing is have him in nursery for a couple of hours a week extra and use this time in the library studying or writing essays. Next year I plan to do a post grad in primary teaching. I'm looking forward to it and feel I'll actually do better with LO here because I know I need to of you know what I mean I've got something motivating me x

I'm just doing my application for next year! Want to study mental health nursing, not sure how I will manage with placements etc but it will be worth it in the long run!

Good luck for September I'm sure you will be fine!

Xxx
