any nail biters?

I always bit my nails until I got pregnant and randomly stopped. I had lovely long nails for a couple of years and then started biting again. I now cheat and wear fake nails to stop myself from biting and then when they are long, go through a couple of months before I bite again and then go back to fakes. I just can't stop!

They're getting long again at the moment as I've been wearing fake nails for a couple of months. I hate it when I've bitten them, I'm so embarrassed and I hate people seeing my hands.

Beth_terri well done! I've not stopped but now after seeing your pic it gives me hope that I've still got time to have pretty nails for Xmas x

Emma I'm the same, really embarrassed about people seeing my nails. What fake nails do you wear? Gels/acrylics or just ones you can buy from boots, supermarkets etc? How long do they last? X

I used to get them done which cost around £40 a month until I saw my friend's who had stick ons and they looked really nice. I used to wear them when I was skint but when I worked at a pub they used to ping off all the time. Anyway I decided to try them after one of my acrylics came off and took half of my nail with it, so bought some from Tesco by nailene, they were a pack of 200 for £8(!!!!!!!) and I have worn them for the past 2 months and haven't pinged any off. I change them every week because I paint my nails so I like a fresh set but I'm still on my first box of these nails, I honestly can't recommend them enough. Because they're not proper acrylics they're much flatter and look more natural, no one ever thinks I'm wearing fakes, and my nails underneath aren't damaged at all. They're a good length too they just need a bit of filing into shape, and you really have to paint them as they look crap bare, but honestly I love them - don't think I'll ever bother getting them done professionally again!

Ah thankyou going food shopping later and know where we're going now my nails are that short I just hope the others have something to stick to. Will definetley be buying some though x

I used to be one i would bite them until they bleed i would bite the sides too it was really bad then one day i just decided to stop I thought it was kind of nasty habit.
