I'm due Dec 6th (so I'm 23 +5 today), but DD came at 37 1/2 weeks. I'm group B positive again this time which I've heard an cause earlier births (no idea if it related last time or not). Anyway, I'm thinking I should be entirely ready again this time by 37 weeks just in case of another early bird.

I usually start my X-Mas shopping mid Nov. or early Dec. but that probably will impossible this year with DD #2 being due at that exact time frame.

Anyway, I'm already planning out my Christmas shopping. I'm hoping to get stuff mostly stockpiled in the attic now, but who knows what people actually will want or need, or have already purchased by then.

Anyone else thinking of pre-prepping for the holidays, or have any tips if you've been due around that busy season in the past?

I was due Christmas Eve, it's definitely a good idea! I spent time in Tesco in the evening when I had been contracting all day and finished my LO's Christmas shopping, this was on the 20th haha. She was my youngest but I still start now each year as her birthday is 4 days before Christmas and it takes so much stress away!

I’m not due til 7th January but I’m doing Christmas shopping for my daughter now because I’m worried we won’t be able to afford it closer to the time. At least she’ll have some nice few things even if they have been in storage for 3/4 months!

My son was due late November a few years back, and I made sure I had all presents bought beforehand just to take pressure off.

That said... Amazon is a modern miracle!

Yes, I was thinking I might be doing A LOT of online shopping. Everytime I try to walk around a store I get too tired to even make it to the checkout line, lol. #frequentbreaks

I just told my kids last week to give me their wish lists, because I want to be finished in October, lol

My dd was due 1st Dec and I had cards written and everything wrapped by then. However she didn't come til the 15th so was twiddling my thumbs a bit. It was great not to have to do any of it when we got home.

I’m due 7th Dec and I’ve started thinking about it.
We’ve recently just moved into a house too so need the whole decorations to go with it 😑

I'm December 6th too.

I normally try and start around september anyway but I never keep up with it, I hate trying to hide presents and fighting the urge to wrap them, and then if I wrap early, I want to unwrap again just to re-wrap (I like wrapping :haha: )

This id the firstbyear I'm starting super early, ie now! I've been hitting yard sales almost every weekend to get things in good condition and saving quite a bit of money! The goal is to spread out the cost over the next few months and keep to a budget.

I have not bothered getting ds1 anything as his interests seem to change monthly

My daughter was due Dec 1st as well and I ended up having to be induced and she didn't arrive until the 10th. I had all of my shopping and everything done by mid November. I agree that it was great to not have anything to do once we got home, I probably wouldn't have gotten anything done once she was here!
