Okay, so I don't mean those lucky women who fall pregnant on their first attempt at ttc, to those ladies I just think congrats! However, one of my best friends has just given birth to a beautiful little boy, she conceived her son whilst blind drunk with a one night stand. So, she was blind drunk and had been drinking heavily, she smokes at least 20 roll ups a day, was on top and straight after ran to the bathroom (although she tells me this was to be sick from all the drink).

It just makes me think. I mean, we started trying BEFORE she fell pregnant even (although we did have a little break in the middle) and we're still not pregnant. I never go on top during fertile periods, I'll only have a couple of glasses of wine, and this is only when af arrives, I no longer drink coffee and I quit smoking.

It just makes me think how unfair it all is! It also makes me wonder if cutting all of this stuff out is just a myth to make us feel like we're doing the best we can (I don't mean cigarettes and alcohol by the way, I know these are bad for us even when we aren't trying to get preg). Anybody else lose hope sometimes when they hear things like this?

Oh god yes....every single day!!!
My best friend also fell preg. while "not trying" and on a drunken night. It just makes me frustrated because she is clueless with kids and looks up to her cousin who is pretty much a breeder that cant take care of her kids. It drives me mad!
Its just the way life works I guess. Hang in there. We will get our BFP soon!
Good luck and lots of baby dust your way!

Thank you! My friend's the same, she smoked all through her pregnancy even, her new boyfriend smokes weed all the time and all three of them share a tiny one bedroom flat. It just makes you a little bit sad when we're doing everything we can to ensure we're good mothers even before our babies are conceived. But like you say, i'm sure we'll get ours soon! Good luck to you too babydust to you :dust: :)

it really does suck, but we cant stress out over it. Good things happen to good people...we just have to wait a bit longer I guess.
TTC is such a stressful process. If we only knew all these years it would take sooo long. I always thought it was a one shot deal....little did I know haha
Im on my third cycle...so i kind of feel less stressful...its weird. Im hoping third times a charm?

I do find it interesting how many accidents or pleasant surprises occur from one night stands and such.. 'cause as we all know the timing has to be so darn perfect for fertilization.

My friend got pregnant with her beautiful baby boy while using BCP AND a condom. The baby's father is a dumbass and she really considered giving up the kid and I couldn't help but to get mad at her! For a, wanting to give up that beautiful little boy (to each there own I guess; she ended up keeping him) and for b, having a kid when she didn't want one when so maybe women every day are trying so hard to be blessed with a baby!

Oh yes definitely!! So many friends and family around me have been having babies while we've still been TTC for 18 months or so and still TTC-ing!!!! :(

Definitely; both my cousins have recently had babies, 2 friends are currently pregnant, 2 friends gave birth 2 weeks ago and I have 4 other friends with babies under a year old.

I know I haven't been ttc for long but I always worry it'll just never happen for me.

Without a doubt I totally agree my husband has an 18 yr old sister who still lives at home and she has a one yr old son she fell preg when drunk too and she still always goes out drinking leaving her dad to rake care of her baby it's just so frustrating as we have a stable home good jobs and in a very loving marriage it's just so annoying when will it be our turn :( xxx baby dust to all xxx

agreed!!

i see women screaming at their kids in supermarkets etc calling their kids mistakes etc...there;s me desperately wanting a kid...

every month i see that :bfn: it makes me feel like a failure that i can't give hubby a kid...he adores children, wants 4 kids...im 27...i better get a move on if we want 2 years or something between each kid...

been off BC since October, NTNP until April and now trying (realised i O'd later than i thought - thank god for OPK's - now i know when to try harder...and figured out my luteal phase so no more stressing until i actually go over those 13/14 days thinking "am i late?!")

i want a kid...and i want one NOW :growlmad:

I'm glad to know it's not just me! I mean, i take every supplement and vitamin under the sun too! I've just started temping as well, and it just makes me a little bit sad that so many kids are unwanted or mistakes, and here we all are, desperate to have our child that we would want, love and care for even before conception! I'm sure we'll all get ours though, maybe this will be our month and then we won't feel sad when this happens, but only know that at least we're doing the very best we can! babydust and good luck to all :D :dust:

I totally agree; I have friends telling me that they didn't even try and it just happened. I get especially annoyed when someone tells me to relax and it'll happen when it happens. I mean, it doesn't really work that way, does it? From a biological point of view, the timing have to be PERFECT! Arg....

i fall pregnant easy but have trouble making them stick... (5 miscarriages, one live birth). It is unfair how many people fall pregnant whilst on a one night stand and steaming drunk... doesn't make sense!

Has anyone noticed what seems to be the contributing factor in all these surprise pregnancies you ladies are writing about :haha:

It does surprise me how some people manage to time it so perfectly without even meaning to, yet others try so hard to time it perfectly and still somehow end up missing :nope: It just isn't fair :hugs: Hoping you all get your :bfp: soon ladies.

:dust:

My cousin winds me up. She's due her second in September.. she keeps going on about how she fell with her first because she didn't know you could get pregnant if you get a stomach bug whilst only using BCP (I'm still convinced she deliberately stopped taking the pill myself)

Now with this one. She announced it on FB (via PM to certain people to be fair) as another "surprise"!!!! Either this girl needs a lesson on the birds and the bees or she's just super stupid if she thinks people are going to swallow her story that she fell pg again by accident!!

If she is telling the truth - well, how the hell do you manage to fall in that 5 day window by accident? Seriously!

OMG yes! I get so annoyed; it's just not fair that women get pregnant so easily when they don't even want a child but then there's women like us who have tried for so long to have the only thing they want in the world happen but it just doesn't :growlmad:

I agree. I think it is so...idk...unfair...annoying...irritating...
My friend just celebrated her kids 6 MONTH bday and just left her boyfriend, and she also just found out she is 2 months along...while they were using protection. UGH Also, my cousin got pregnant and didnt even know who the father was...smoked and drank during all of it. My other friend who just kicked her boyfriend out for being a drug addict and lives in a small one bedroom just found out shes 6 weeks along...she drinks daily.
I will admit...i smoke (2 cigs a day) and i drink (4 drinks every other weekend) but i have a two bedroom, my boyfriend and i are doing amazing, we have been trying for over 8 months, and nothing. UGH!!!

good luck to all and i cant wait for us to get those BFP!!

That is the most annoying thing. If I hear one more person say that I will scream. I actually yelled at my mom for saying that to me. She also said "let nature take its course". She doesn't understand why the ttc process can be emotionally draining. She got pregnant with me and wasn't ttc and the same for when she was had my sister. ugh

What drives me mad is a close friend who knows I am ttc and who also happened to fall preg overnight....tells me to go get checked out. Maybe something is wrong! I just feel like chocking her! I have irregular cycles, so I already knew it would not be a one shot thing, but it does feel like a huge stab when she said it. Like wtf nothing is wrong with me. All I want is someone to hear me bitch just like I hear her complaining about everything under the pregnancy sun! Be happy that it was sooo easy for you!
Super frustrating.
