Anyone disappointed with their choice of pram?

Thanks for all the replies ladies... Seems I'm not alone in wishing I'd chose a different system!

Makes me feel a little better in a way, as I was thinking I was being a bit of a brat about it all, complaining about having a brand new pram, when so many don't have that luxury. Doubt I'll buy another one though as she's growing so fast it would be a waste of money as I'll be able to use a stroller soon.

Not unless I find out it was me who won the 101 million pounds on the euro lottery *off she goes to check her ticket!*

Eta: damn... It wasn't me who won

I think the secret is to have more than one so it's suita every mood or occasions! Hahah.

I've got a zeta vooom lightweight stroller, a silver cross linear sleepover travel system and a vintage Silver Cross pram, I love them all!!

I'm on my 3rd pram due to hating the other 2!

I bought a silvercross 3d when i was pregnant but once i'd had LO i didn't like the way it was only forward facing. I wanted him to be able to face me once he was sitting up.

DH said we shouldn't spend loads so i went for the obaby Zezu and ended up hating the car seat as it felt unsafe and just the way the pram looked. It didn't seem comfy and looked big and bulky.

Finally i bought a 3 wheel Quinny Buzz last month with a maxi cosi car seat and i love it!

Bit annoyed at spending out all the money, i sold the others but didnt get no where near my money back, but i can't seal with a pram i don't like.

i had a hauck deuette, my son hated the second seat, it was much bigger than i expected but it was a dream to push one handed and it was one handed put up and down so thought i would stick with it. i took it out for the first time and one side collapsed. if the other side collapsed and my son was underneath he would have been badly injured. i sent it back got my money back thank god.

gone back to the silvercross 3d i had before. perfect for the park and places i dont need to hold ds hand but for when i do i babywear

I don't regret my choice (all black bugaboo cam) but I do feel its time to trade in and get a Maclaren globetrotter or triumph. The Bugaboo is so heavy and I just want easy to fold and lightweight now.

I got the quinny buzz 3 in rocking black and I LOVE IT!!!! However I got the safety first duo as my double and I hate it!! Its huge and very heavy, the back seat that lies back is tiny and theres no way Sam will.be in it for much longer. Its also hard to fold, wish idspent more on a better double :(

We started with a silvercross 3D which was shite. I have now had 8 prams(not all brand new!) and i can say that the Jane and Quinny pushchairs seem the largest and sturdiest. I have a 3yr old inside a 11mth old body so room is important to me!

Hun.

If you are really unhappy sell it and buy youself one from EBAY. You can een get brand new branded buggies for sometimes a 5th price (just in last seasons colours!) on ebay!

I have a babystyle prestige and I love it and miss it Ellie cant fit in it and hasnt been able to since May when she got her spica cast on and we went and bought a mamas and papa luna mix which I do like but I only wanted that as the pram we use when out and about in the car so cant wait to get the babystyle back on the road lol x

I've got a Hauck travel system that came with pushchair part, car seat and carry cot for £100 brand new! Ok it may not look as snazzy as the iCandy or Bugaboo ones but who cares when you can save that amount of money?! Especially when LO outgrows the car seat and carry cot part so quickly, so all you are left with is a pushchair. It does the job perfectly.

I also bought a Out n About Nipper Sport second hand from Ebay for £77. I've got horses so spend a huge amount of time off roading, and this is a dream for things like that.

So I spent under £180 in total and have something perfect for any situation. I just can't justify spending £600+ on a travel system when you don't have to.

I've got an oyster and wish I didn't. The black frame scratches really easily and looks so scruffy. The wheel fell off after a few months and babystyle didn't want to know, I had to fix it myself even though it was still in it's poxy 6 month warranty. The colour pack I originally bought was rank, and the only way I got it changed was by the nice lady in the shop letting me change it. I had to pay £5 postage to send it back to babystyle though  It's freaking hopeless on any terrain rougher than 'shopping centre'. I've taken it out for walks on gravel etc and the back wheel falls off

I loved it when Holly was in the carrycot part though. I just expected a bit more from a pushchair that wasn't exactly cheap (about £400) inc carrycot and colour pack. I was swayed by all the reviews (including a which best buy) which obviously don't take into account how the pushchair ages.

not a thing id change about mine, ive got a Recaro Akuna and im SO happy with it :cloud9:
its so light, looks awesome, no-one else has it, so versatile and has really grown well with LO and our carseat fits so easily on.
originally we were going to get the silvercross 3d, then the mothercare trenton(same as a graco) and last minuite we decided we could afford the one i wanted

love mine.
its the uppababy
:cloud9:

even my hubby loves it! and he could really give a shit about stuff like that :haha:

Snap!! I absolutely love it - l got it mainly because of the large basket which most just don't have...definitely my best baby purchase! :-)

I hate my Graco stroller also. I love the Snugride 35 carseat, even though it weighs a ton. For some reason I decided to buy the coordinating stroller. Although I rarely used it as a travel system. The wheels are too large for the body of the stroller, I am constantly clipping the wheels on something. The worst part is the seat doesn't go fully up right. It was fine when she was little, but she hates the quasi-reclined position now.

We bought a graco travel system & hated it! It was bulky and heavy &
Ugly :-( I genuinely didn't think I'd med to use a buggy that much :dohh:

We bought an iCandy cherry when lo was 3 mths & I adore it! It's so pretty & lightweight. We couldn't afford a new pram & new car seat though so we still use the graco one but never take it out of the car.

Will update the carseat with next lo so it can go on the iCandy chassis - just hope if we have a boy he doesn't mind being in a purple iCandy coz oh will not fork out for another!! :haha:

I had an Eddie Bauer Travel System with my eldest son... Absolutely HATED it.
So then after 3 months of putting up with that, i bought a 2009 Baby Jogger City Elite Single. LOVED IT!
When i was pregnant with #2, i knew i'd need a double and finally decided on a 2010 Baby Jogger City Elite Double. I still kind of like it, but it weighs 42lbs and my youngest will cry if he can't see me.... So now i wish i had known about the Bugaboo Donkey.

I think it's hard to choose a stroller until your baby is born as you just don't know what your baby will be like.... But sometimes thats not really an option for parents!

:flower:

I spent way more than most people around me seem to spend on strollers, and don't regret it one second. I got a stroller that fills every need I wanted and the quality is great. I found the most helpful thing in doing research was to read the negative reviews. Constant complaints of squeakiness etc are good to know, but if people complain about it being too heavy, then you look up the actual weight and see that it weighs just as much as that Graco one everyone else is getting, then you know what to make of that.

Reading some stroller's reviews where they say their tall husbands hate pushing it since their feet keep kicking it might make you realize you want a stroller that has adjustable height handles that go really tall to give more walking space. If someone complains about not having a cup holder for the parent, you may decide that is not an important feature for you etc.

I can't bring it into all stores, but the stores where I can't bring it are too cluttered for ANY stroller so I just babywear.

Have to say that other than a basket that is too small to do anything with, our pram (Symbio) has been absolutely fantastic. Would recommend it to anyone

I have the Graco fusia (spelling?) from babys are us and the wheels squeeked like mad!
I took it back and they changed the frame part and not two weeks later the wheels on that now squeak as well!

Dreading having to take it back again but the squeak drives me mad!

I like the pram itself, it's not too heavy, fits in my boot (have a small car) and I like using it but the squeak.......

I had a graco made for mothercare pram my very first time (Seville if anyone else remembers it) and I hated it. I said then I'd never have another graco and I haven't. It sounds like theyve not improved much!

This time I started off with a buzz which I loved but it was so big and I preferred wearing her. Also I couldn't use it as a travel system cos the wheels were too big to fit in families cars and cabs, and the seat didn't sit up properly parent facing. So I
sold it and bought a loola which I love! And it fits the same carseat so I can walk to asda and get a cab back with my shopping!
