Anyone effected by Hurricane Sandy?

Hope everyone stays safe!! I just cant imagine it! Where I live we get the odd flood and a few roof tiles blown off. Can't imagine what you guys go through!!

Its expected to hit us this evening. So far mainly just wind gust warnings and that we could be without power for awhile. Been told to batten down the hatches (so to speak) and take down any decorations or tie down anything that could be blown away in the storm.

Been seeing some crazy photos on FB - hope everyone is staying safe!!!

Timeline has shifted. Sandy is due to make landfall at 6 pm, so that's in less than 2 hours for NY.

I can't believe all the destruction already and she hasn't even hit yet!

We have been watching the news too, with the crane some where in NY being broken and all the netting on the freedom tower already getting pulled off. You must be scared

No, a different one but the netting has come off from the one world trade centre where it is still under construction so I imagine they are worried about that crane too.
