Anyone else actually looking forward to the budget thingy tomorrow?

Im glad, I really am. The benefits system needs sorting out, asap! x

I'm watching it now, quite shocked to be honest I expected them to be much harsher on cutting and lowering things.

i thought it meant the CB wouldnt increase. It normally increases a tiny bit every year

frozen means it wont go up, not that its being stopped?

That's what i thought but as it never is increased anyway i thought that it meant they would stop it! but im probably wrong lol

ok so is this right then.

the child benefit you get will stay the same for 3 years
ctc will stop for people earning over 40,000 next year

sorry for my typing lo asleep in my arms

Im annoyed at the 2 year public sector pay freeze. That's my hubby. We struggle as it is. Pretty peed he isn't getting anything at all not even cost of living. Guess the next two years are just gonna get harder for us then

so...have i got this right?

families earning UNDER 40,000 per year will continue to get tax credits
The baby element is abolished?
child benefit will remain as it is for the next 3 years
Housing benefit will be restricted?

yes?

Frozen means its staying the same wont go up wont loose it also agreeing with what they say.

ohhhh ok i didn't know it went up! my mum said she used to get the same as i get now which is why i thought it had stayed the same

Alot of people dont get pay rises for years so i dont see why the public sector should be any different

Yes you're right :)

so far they've been incredibly fair. the only people that can complain so far benefits wise are those who cheat/abuse the system - he is making that very difficult by the sounds of it :)

can someone fill me in please :( Lo has hid the tv remote :( ! ARGH ! x

it said that public sector workers earning under 21k£ where getting a £250 yearly pay rise. for the two years, wages above that where frozen

Does the CB thing mean that if you have another baby, you still wont get anymore money?
I get £33 a week now for two kids. Will it stay the same £33 when the next baby is born?

i really thought cb had been stopped then till i read above i thought i would have to live on £80 a week so happy for that.

bigs hugs to everyone it will affect tho :hugs:
