Anyone else anterior placenta?

I had an anterior placenta with my first, a posterior with my second, and another anterior with my third (this one), so I was really glad I had the second to have a comparison with.

With #1 I started feeling light flutters around 18 weeks, and was feeling light, but definite kicks/movement by 20 weeks (the midwife was surprised that I was feeling it though). DH could feel from the outside at 24 weeks. With #2, I felt the first VERY definitely movement at 13+6, then again at 15+4, then on and off until it got more regular by 17/18 weeks (and DH could feel at 20 weeks). With #3, I felt something really light at 15 weeks (although if I hadn't known what to be looking for I would have missed it) and then almost nothing until 18 weeks, and then only very light, occasional movement up until 21 weeks. Since 21 weeks I've been able to feel some movement from the outside also (DH also felt it for the first time) and it's only really been since then that I've been feeling daily movement, but mostly at night or in the morning (and since 22 weeks occasionally throughout the day).

SO, it can really vary and I think it depends on the exact location of the placenta, etc. My mw told me it's still normal to feel something only once a week though and not to be worried!

I've started feeling the odd jab but very light and not often at all. Sometimes I can forget I'm pregnant even! I'll be 20 weeks on Monday so really hoping the pokes and kicks pick up soon. Thanks for all the replies.

The rolling around, kicks, and punches will show up soon! I feel them constantly now despite having an anterior placenta. It sucks in the beginning but once they start to get bigger and you feel them stretch out and feel them ALL OVER THE PLACE, there's no mistaking it for gas or anything like that. Because our little one moves constantly and I feel it since he moves hard and is running out of room! Today he's been stretching out and I feel him in my lower left side where I would get period cramps and in my right ribs at the same time!

I'm convinced my placenta is anterior this time as I have barely felt any movement at 18+5, I felt my son earlier than this and he was my first! My scan is on Friday so I'll ask.

Finally at exactly 20 weeks I can feel the kicks AND see my belly being poked...it's so cool I could feel with my hand as its been consistent and looked down an can see my belly moving from the little kicks, God bless!!!

I have an anterior placenta but have felt baby for weeks. About 15weeks onwards. I'm now 20weeks and at the scan baby booted the lady doing the scan and I giggled and she said wait what ... u can feel that. I was confused and said yeah I have felt movement for ages. She never told me I had an anterior placenta at the scan I found out in my notes x
It could explain why my husband can't feel baby from the outside yet despite I feel the kicks very hard x
