Anyone? The past couple of days I've just felt like I need to
poo all day but try and go and nothing is there?

could it be where head is engaged? I don't remember getting this with my little boy?

That sounds like a possible explanation. Another possibility is internal piles. They would make your rectum feel like there was something there to be pushed out when there wasn't. Might be worth googling for symptoms of piles to see if anything rings a bell.

Lx

I do poo all the time. But takes forever. Not constipated, just takes forever. I thought it would be the oppisite' But I have to go like 2-3 times a day.

I had this on Thursday hun, Wednesday night at about midnight I had a big clear out, then all day Thursday I felt like this and was having twinges etc all day I really thought baby was coming. I mentioned it to my midwife and she said it's probably where baby has dropped into position. Xx

I am getting this too, and feel like I need to go twice a day. But most times I sit there and wait for something to happen and nothing does! I am not that far behind you either, in terms of dates, so I guess they are so low at this point. I get ALOT o fpressure on my rectum and when bending forward, can feel it more there, too. So it is likely to be head/pressure.

I have been sooo constipated throughout this pregnancy. It's driving me mad and nothing helps! Whenever I go it feels like there is more in there (sorry, TMI). But I have heard that some people can feel this way as labour gets close? I am hoping that I have one of those 'clearouts' that I see people talk about lol!

I do not have an upset tummy but I have to go three or four times a day. Previously I was a once a day girl. I feel a huge amount of pressure and have to visit the bathroom fairly swiftly. Thank goodness we have an upstairs and downstairs loo. I believe I am feeling like this because the babies head is very low down.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean! It's worse when i am stood up/moving around. Speaking to other people, I think it might be baby's head starting to engage/move down and leaning on part of the bowels (nice!). My mum says she remembers the same feeling when she was pregnant towards the end as well.

Yes, i have this, and have had it for a few weeks now and coincidently since baby has been engaged. ive gone from being mostly constipated thru pregnancy to going at least 1-2 times a day, and i didnt even always go that much before i was pregnant!

Yep i have had this the past week needing to go but nothing coming out 80% of the time
