Hi ladies,
My baby has been in a transverse lie for most of this pregnancy. At 32 weeks she turned head down and even though she was still sideways at that point I wasn't worried at all as there was still plenty of time.
Yesterday I had a midwife appointment and was told the baby is now oblique so she's lying diagonally with her head down towards my left hip and bottom is on my right side.
I was told if my waters break or I have any bleeding I have to go to the hospital ASAP as there's a risk of cord prolapse which of course freaked me out a bit.
When I asked if the baby is likely to correct her position on her own I was told it is possible but not very convincingly.
I'm booked for a scan on Tuesday when I'm 36+6 to confirm baby's size and position and then I have a consultant appointment a week later.
Anyone else have a baby in transverse/oblique lie at this stage or been in a similar situation? What was the outcome or what have you been told? I'm not quite sure what this means in terms of giving birth so just wondering what others have been told/experienced. I guess I'll find out for sure sometime after my scan.
I'll be trying some techniques from spinning babies website, not sure there's much else I can do.
