Anyone experiencing spotting after bowel movement?

So I have IBS and am very often constipated. Over the weekend, after pushing out a bowel movement, I experienced spotting. I am 6 weeks pregnant. I called the doctor and she wants to see me tomorrow. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes this happened to me about 4 weeks ago. Only lasted a short time. I don't know for sure it was caused by the BM, but I noticed it immediately after. At my appt 2 weeks ago, my MW noticed a polyp on my cervix, which she said could cause spotting. So maybe that's related? Any any case baby is fine. Good luck.

Yes, this happened to me too, I was only able to go once a week and would get some spotting after I actually managed.. Seems to have stopped now, and I am able to go a bit more often.

Thank you ladies. I go tomorrow for an ultrasound tomorrow. My original appointment wasn't until May 22, but my doctor wants to see me immediately because of the spotting. I'm hoping everything is going well and maybe even hear a heart beat!
