Anyone get pregnant straight after coming off the pill?

Hey there pregnant ladies! I am in WTT thread at the moment and am planning to come off the pill and start TTC straight away. Am on Microgynon 30 (low dose pill) and have been for 11 years. Before then I was regular (AF). So, I just wanted to see who this has happened to? Dr's said I should just stop pill and start trying straight away but I know that some people like to stop and wait a few cycles.

I got preg after coming off microgynon. I came off, had my normal withdrawal bleed, then 27 days later had a real period. The month after my period didnt come and I was preg! Lucky me ey? Last time it took 5 months though, same pill as well. Sometimes it takes a while to ovulate. good luck

This happened to me with my first pregnancy I was on the same pill as you. Stopped taking it, had the normal withdrawal bleed then got pregnant straight away I never actually had a true period from stopping the pill I was a bit worried at the time about getting pregnant so quickly after stopping but doctors reassured me it was fine and I now have a very healthly 2 year old.

I got pregnant this time about three months after stopping the pill.

Hi

I came off BCP at the end of June, had withdrawal bleed and then a very short period the following month, then got BFP. I was very shocked that I caught so quickly as I had read that some ladies take ages, or at least 3 - 6 months. I was on the BCP for over 15 years and was cross with myself for not coming off it sooner, as I was worried it would take ages. Plus I'm getting on a bit now...(37)!!

Thanks guys! I really hope that I am as lucky as all of you. I've got a good feeling about it and we will try not to get disappointed if it doesn't happen straight away. Bit annoyed I have to wait til Dec really!

I was on BC for 8 years, came off and didn't get AF for 3 months. I am now 8 weeks 6 days pregnant, after 7 months. Not trying to discourage you, but everyone is different!

I was too impatient to even wait for one normal period, so I got pregnant right after stopping the pill- I had the usual withdrawal bleed, then apparently I ovulated right on schedule on CD14 and conceived that cycle.

I had some bleeding around the time I would have expected my period, but it was lighter and shorter than normal. At first I thought I wasn't pregnant but decided to do a test anyway and got my BFP

I got pregnant like 2-3 weeks off of the nuvaring. I have on BC pills prior to that for several years. I was shocked!

Me we went to speak to a doctor to say we were thinking about trying for a baby what did i have to done etc, he said come off the pill and it could take up to a year to conceive as i had been on the pill for so long etc first month off my pill and im pregnant lol

When I first got pregnant I was on microgynon for 10 years. Got pregnant on 2nd cycle I guess I could have got pregnant on 1st cycle but now I know all the in's and out's of TTC I realise that I didn't BD at the right time on that cycle.

I missed a pill or two and here i am again - so i guess my answer is it could literally happen anytime!

Hilarious!!!!! How fantastic. Gosh, so all those years they were saying that the 1st pill of your next pack is the most important to take on time and they were right!!!

I was on Microgynon for 7 years, came off it about 3.5 weeks ago and got my today at 11dpo.

Still in total shock.

I recently asked my doc and she said the pill does not affect fertility.
i had been worried about so many women saying they had trouble conceiving after being on BCP for a long time, but doc said that women who have trouble would have had trouble conceiving anyway if they'd been on BC or not

so i hope shes right i want to believe that lol
