Anyone get pregnant straight after coming off the pill?

Hi,

I too am trying to conceive I have been on bc for 10 years i am 26 now. I came off my pill on 12th September- withdrawal bleed 17th. then my first real period on 17th October should be due on the weekend but i so hope i am not! This month well in the last week my boobs have been swollen some veins appearing and bloated feeling!! Took a test today being stupid and came back negative. Could i still be PG? Help!!

I really can't wait to start trying. So, when did you come off the pill and when did you activtly start trying. Did you DTD every day???? I need advice from a pro!!!!

I got pregnant whilst on Microgynon, missed a pill or two and stress and illness etc. That ended in a mc though and they were not sure how far along I was as periods were messed up. after that came off it properly and it took 7 months to get pregnant. BUT I was ovulating on time from the beginning. xxxx

I came off the pill had the 7 day bleed, then we used condoms for one month, we read that you should alow 3 natural cycles b4 trying. But i got to impatient, so when the next bleed came i thought sod the condoms, lets just try....it might take forever anyhow...and what do you know...i caught straight away.xx

I came off the pill on 01.08.10. I was on Noriday which is a mini pill, so I didn't have periods whilst on it. We wanted to wait until I had my first AF before trying. We got a bit impatient after 4 weeks waiting and tried a few times anyway. 1st AF then came on 16.09.10 (which unusually for me only lasted 3 days) so we then started trying properly and amazingly I got pregnant during this first cycle! I'd convinced myself I wasn't, because I got BFN on the day AF was due, but a week later got BFP!!

I finished my pack and had that period then conceived without ever getting my period again. I literally conceived the 1st month! It happens

I think with Microgynon you're fairly safe, as it's the combined pill. I was told Cerazette (POP) was the one that is impossible to conceive straight after on as it muchs up your cycles what with there being no oestrogen in it, yet a couple of weeks after coming off I had a period, and then fell pregnant two weeks later!

It all depends on the person to be honest, but I think you're pretty safe with Microgynon

I have a long History of endometriosis and have 4 surgeries so i was on a continuous pill for the past 6 years in a hope to stop any bleeds and in turn stop the endo. my gyne suggested that i stop the pill for a few months to allow my body to reset itself, i was off the pill (high dose) for maybe 3 months before i conceived, even with a history of issues and i wasnt even trying! SHOCK? DEFINITELY! but also way over the moon

Took us 2 months off of Yaz to get pregnant. We chose to wait a month after stopping the pills to start trying

I was on the pill for 11 years. I thought it would take while to have regular ovulation schedule, so I stopped taking it, thinking it would take months. After I stopped it did take 86 days to have my period, but right after that I conceived!! I had one period, then got preggers, but I didn't realize it right away because I mistook implantation bleeding for my period.

I say there's no reason to wait. It might happen right away or maybe after a while. Just depends.

Hiya,I was also on microgynon.I had the last pill in the packet,had the period for 4 days,and didnt take another pill.I was pregnant 11 days later.to say i was shocked is an understatment!

i got pregnant straight away after i came off the pill with my first child and my sister has got pregnant twice while on the pill (shes rubbish at taking it) lol and neither of us have had any problems whatsoever

I was on mycrogynon for less than a year i got to the end of a pack on the 20th august 2011 had my withdrawl bleed on the 23rd an 24th which as always was very light like only there when i wipe :/ anyway then I took 3 pills from the next pack after the week break but decided to try for a baby an didnt want to wait till I fin the pack then on the 2nd and 3rd september I bled quite heavy like normal period ( my normal periods used to be 3 to 4 days max). on the 9th had very wet discharge a sharp pain in bottom left hand side of stomach which i usually get when due on period then on 10th one time when i wiped down there i had very dark brown almost black gooey thing :/ then nothin for few days then when i wiped would get a tan colour discharge then went to proper white an thick now my boobs ache so much. by the way I have 3 children already never had this with any of them an dont usually get sore boobs till aba 5 months pregnant an never while on period :/ anywhoo Im hoping I concieve as quickly as some of u ladies, i did concieve my youngest just after missing 2 cilest pills so maybe il be as lucky this time .
anyone experience anything similar?

I came off BCP after 8 years mid pack in May this year and got my bfp in July, we started trying straight away and I just stopped my pack half way through.

I got knocked up second cycle after stopping the pill, much to my and my hubby's surprise! Our ovaries bounce back quickly I guess! Congratulations!
