Hi ladies

Not been.on for a while as I'm going through a bad patch at the minute. Me and my OH have decided to split a mutual decision. Were on good terms at the minute and he is moving to his friends on Friday. Unfortunately he isnt responsible and I feel like I have two children and I have to make my LO a priority.
Anyway my question is I've done a calculation for tax credits and housing benefits the only issue is I'm putting a claim in asap as I will only have my mat pay this month (oh has lost another job so will only be able to givw me money for a few bills) but my circumstances will change in January when I go back to work (will be paying for childcare) what do I do claim what I can get for a month then.put another claim in? Do I let them know when I'm claiming that my circumstances will change soon? Also do they pay your tax credits in advance? For example I need to pay £350 upfront nursery fees for the month and bot sure how I will do it if I don't already have the claim in?

Thanks for any help ! Xx

You put in a claim for ur current circumstances then you ring them as and when anything changes. No point telling in advanced as who knows what cud haplen in next month.

You can also claim for an emergency loan for immediate fees...i believe they then just take a small amount off your monthly benefits to repay it.

Sorry ur having to go through this. hope ur ex mans up and provides for his son. :hugs:
