Hey girls - I start sniffing Buserelin tomorrow and wondered if anyone had any tips. I know I have to drink at least 2 litres of water to try and stave off a headache but is there anything else I should know/do? Does it taste funny? Is there a best way to get rid of the taste?

When I took it I ended up swallowing it a few times !
I found by pushing my tounge against the roof of my mouth I couldn't taste it. Also keep your head tilted back a few seconds longer than you think you'll need to.
Brush your teeth if you do taste it rather than eating or drinking or using mouth wash as you don't want to get rid of it and will also make anything you eat or drink taste awful!

Good luck x

Thanks Kim - I'll give that a try. Looks like I might need to take my toothbrush to work just in case

I'm injecting, so don't know about the taste, but my best advice would be to make sure you rest when you need to. The tiredness took me by surprise, so get plenty of early nights and definately drink loads of water, also don't be afraid to take a paracetamol if you need to x

Thanks Wifey - so far I haven't been too tired but I've been going to bed early anyway to try and stock up on sleep! I have been making sure I get 2l of water every day and so far so good!

It does taste pretty horrible but I suppose it's inevitable some might trickle down your throat when spraying up your nose. It made me sneeze like mad so I'd hold my nostrils after to try stop the sneezing. Lots of water is important, I also found myself exhausted and getting hot flushes on it so something to be aware of :) Also I got the headaches regardless of how much water I drank BUT they were not as severe as on my first IVF when I used injections to down reg.
