Hi ladies,
We opted for a termination 2 years ago when we found out our lo had arcrania, meaning the skull hadnt formed properly leaving a hole. We were devastated but had no other option as baby would have died the instant he was born if he had been born at all.
Now I am 6weeks pg after 2 years of hoping and now Im absolutelu terrified it will happen again. The chance of a second ntd affected pg is 2-3% but thats no comfort really. Im taking 5mg folic acid. The worst part is knowing that the neural tube forms at 4-5 weeks so if anythings wrong its wrong already. Ive been told that most ntds wouldnt be seen on a scan until around 9 weeks so its just a waiting game.
I was just hoping for some reassurance really!! (bit self indulgent)
Thanks ladies xxx
