Anyone have a docs appointment before next Wednesday?

I'm not sure if this is possible but wanted to know if someone could help.

I am due to see the doc again next Wednesday or Thursday to have another injection of pregnyl 5000, after reading up on this I read that this should not be given to women who are already pregnant. (thank you to all that replied to my other post).

Well, I wondered if any of you have appointments before this date, you could ask your doc to see what their opinion is. I know every doctor is different, they all have different ideas and all have our best interests at heart, but this has just confused me. If you can, my details are:

Age - 37, 38 by the time baby is due
Last year had blighted ovum.
Had scan on Wednesday and all was fine, heart beating (absolutely brilliant)
Given pregnyl 5000 injection, he said for extra protection to the pregnancy.
Told to take at least 2 folic acid tablets per day
Continue to take multi vits for pregnancy
Told to take 2 vitamin E tablets per day.

My other half doesn't seem concerned at all, in fact he doesn't even seem arsed I'm pregnant at the mo so I am totally on my own. Last night he asked if I wanted a drink, I said I have water, he said no, some wine, I said I can't drink. He screwed up his face and muttered can't drink, pha, who said you can't drink. I almost said do you want me to have 10 cigarettes with that drink too, but I refrained!!!

I am not sure if doctors would comment on other doctors, but thought I'd ask.

I don't have any answers on the injection question. But your OH's being a bit off isn't he?! Does he not want you to keep bubs safe and healthy or what?!
Good Luck at your appointment, I'm sure they would't be giving you anything detrimental to your and babys health.

Evening all

Well I confided in a friend of mine today who speaks Bulgarian. We went to the pharmacy and asked about why pregnyl 5000 would be prescribed to someone already pregnant. They gave her a book with all details about medication.

In the book it said that pregnayl 5000 can be prescribed to pregnant women who may require extra protection, the way it was explained to me was to help the baby stick!! I think that means to make the embryo stronger. Anyway, I feel a lot better about everything and appreciate you offering help.

As for me lovely other half. I talked to my friend today and she said her husband was the same, in fact she's 8 months and only now and again will he discuss the baby!! I guess some men are like that. My other half has been fine today, but my friend said that if I wanted, she would come to my next appointment with me and translate EVERYTHING!!! I will then be in the no for everything. I'm gonna leave it till Monday and tell him if he doesn't want to go then I have an alternative. He's not being horrible or nasty, just being a bloody pain in the arse.
