Hi all
I had a home birth with my first 18 months ago, but suffered a 3rd degree (3B) tear, so had to be transferred to hospital for repair under spinal.
I am not ttc at the moment but have been thinking about it recently. I just wondered whether anyone has managed either another home birth after this kind of tear without need for a hospital transfer, or if anyone who had this type of tear managed to avoid tearing the second time?
If so, did you do anything differently to help prevent it.
I would like to add that at my 12 week appointment with the consultant, he told me there was no reason why I shouldn't do another home birth. I am just looking for other people's stories to give me some reassurance.
