anyone in hr CIPD qualified?

I've worked in recruitment for 5 years and always fancied HR so started my cipd in Sept. I'm just wondering for anyone already in hr did you do your cipd and if so did u find work easily? The course is expensive and I'm enjoying it but worried I'm paying near £1000 and I might not get a hr job at the end of it. I have good admin skills but have only ever worked at basic level befoe my current job so receptionist, typist etc. My current role is more resourcing than sales and I also carry out site training for clients health and safety inductions etc. What's your opinion if your in hr am I wasting my time or do I carry on?

Yup me! But I did the masters? It has cost me 3k a year. For hr many companies look for cipd and so it will give you am advantage but it won't of course guarantee you a job. In all honesty at admin level it's not as important bit it will give you the extra!

Thanks hun, I plan on doing my level 5 at some point but hopefully I will find some hr work first

I think one of the easiest ways to get into hr is maybe start in a recruitment agency and then transition to an internal recruiter.

Thats what im doing now but have never had any luck with getting internal positions, I think its probably because my role is more sales based although I do a lot more resourcing than sales. Ive applied for a couple of HR positions today one for an assitant in a food manufacturing company i do all the training for a food manufacturers in my role now so hoping that might count for something! really want to find something so I can do my level 5! ive heard its really hard if your not already in HR so wouldnt be much point! plus im finding parts of this course a bit hard to get my head around as I havent used any hr databases etc.. thanks for your input hun!
