Hello,
Poking my nose in here for the first time. I'm 19 and me and OH are expecting our first baby.
I had my booking appointment and my midwife asked if i wanted to be part of a research project to do with Building Blocks.
It's basically for young mums under 20 to see how having extra support works.
Apparently it's had good reviews in the US and now they're trialling it here in the UK.
Basically i'll get put into one of two groups. I'll either have just my normal midwife care, or i'll have midwife care with extra support from a family nurse until my baby is 2 years old. They randomly put you in a group so i dont know which i'll be in.
I just wondered if anyone else is/had done this? I thought i would do it as if it helps young mums then i think it's a good idea.
