Anyone measure larger the whole time and still go 40 weeks?

When I had my 9 week sonogram, she measured a due date of August 7th. Of course, based on my period, they assigned me a due date of August 14th.

At my 20 week ultrasound, she was measuring a week larger but they didn't believe it was a large enough discrepancy to change my due date.

Today, at my 32 week visit, the nurse measured my bump and jokingly asked if I was sure there was only one in there.
She ordered another sonogram because of it, so I know the baby is still measuring larger than they expect.

Now...I know I ovulated early. It's not a speculation, I KNOW. In fact, I have been pregnant with twins before and they run in my dad's family so I have the hyperovulation gene. I'm assuming I hyperovulated that month and my hubby caught me on the first one. I had pink spotting only 4 days after my period ended (2 days after having sex) and I knew something was unusual right then. It seemed so early though and although my initial thought was that I was going to get pregnant, I brushed it off as being due to the sex and even bought tampons in expectation of the AF that never came. Of course, when I took the test, it showed up immediately and significantly darker than the control line.

So yeah, I know I conceived earlier than one would expect, given that I ovulated earlier than the average ovulation.

So has anyone had that situation and still gone the full 40 from the LMP? I'd love to stop being pregnant already so I'm definitely hoping my real due date is at least a week earlier.

With my first I was due 23rd April by lmp. Due date changed to 20th April by 12 week scan. I was very confident of my dates.

Baby measured 2 to 3 weeks ahead for the whole of the pregnancy from 20 weeks on. He was born 6th May (41+6 if going by lmp). He weighed 9lb 3oz and was very very long and skinny.

My lb always measured big from the 1st time they measured the fundal height but he was born at 41+3 in the end sand was 7lb13oz so not that big either!

uggghhh not what I wanted to read :(

Plus, this is my first baby and everyone is always telling me their first didn't want to come out!

With my son I found that I was measuring 2 weeks ahead the entire way through my pregnancy. I was induced with my boy 10 days after my due date!! Sometimes they just like to stay put xx.

On the other hand my friend was measuring big with both her babies. She was sure of her dates. Her babies were born at 36+6 and 35 weeks and both weighed over 8lbs. She just seems to have shorter gestations.

Yup. I measured ahead the whole way through. I was told it was a combo of a big baby and extra fluid. Had extra tests and scans to keep an eye on her and even had steroid shots, as they were worried she would come pre-term.
She arrived 40+5!! At 8lb 12oz. So not early or the whopper they predicted really.
I think I'll measure ahead this time too...

I measured large throughout with dd, the midwife told me I was measuring over too. I had to be induced and had her at 42+1, she weighed 10lb 1oz

X

Yeah I measured 3 weeks ahead with DS, he came at 42 weeks induced, 9lbs 15oz which was quite big for my frame, his size didn't encourage him to move though!

Oh my. I'm only 5'1 and hoping for a non-medicated vaginal delivery.

I guess I'll get more information at the sonogram. It could just be me that's huge and not her...

I also just noticed I posted in 2nd Trimester instead of 3rd...but I don't think it makes a difference since this is more directed at those who've given birth before and not 3rd trimester stuff.

I measured a week ahead the whole way through and didn't give birth until 41 weeks 1 day with ds. He was 9 lbs 2 oz, which was actually totally expected due to my husband being a big baby, and all of his siblings as well.

I wouldn't worry too much until you've had a scan- measuring ahead/behind doesn't necessarily have a baring on the size of the baby. I've measured 7-9 weeks ahead for the past couple of months. I've had several growth scans and baby is on the 50th centile. The difference in measurement is purely down to how I'm carrying- I have no GD, excess fluid etc.
