wow 9 weeks till the wedding that is not long! Something will come up. My dress cost me £85 in a dress shop sale, it should have been £450! only thing is cos I'm so short had to spend £50 having it taken up about 4 feet lol but £135 was pretty good for a dress with a huge train!

My friend just had to plan her wedding in 4 weeks and she managed to get beautiful flowers done at a good price by someone who does funeral flowers. Always remember - where there's a will there's a way!

Well, yesterday was a big day! decided to tell the close family as DH was struggling with keeping it quiet and we didn't want them to find out accidently. They were all ecstatic! My SIL has her due date of 3rd Dec so they will only be about 7 weeks apart! We are so excited!

Also had to tell my charge nurse today as I was really struggling at work with sore hips.

I hope you're able to get a good deal on your dress, thisisme!! But all the more reason to keep on window shopping and trying on gowns . Besides that, it sounds like you have everything pretty much sorted....especially as the reception venue is sorted. Good luck hun!

As for me, rounding up my clomid today....and getting ready for a birthday tomorrow (yay!!). Besides that, it's life as usual .

Hello ladies

well i went to the toilet and was well and truelly shocked to discover that the had well and truelly arrived!!! CD 75, i was really surprised i had no idea lol.

my dress dilemma is sorted i have a cousin making mine for me so it will be made to measure which is awesome probably going for a v neck, 50's style knee length jobby...maybe with teal netting and teal shoes

Thisisme, I also think the idea of a custom made dress is brilliant. Then you'll be able to get exactly what you want! Also, I think thats the first time I've been glad to see that arrived for you. What a month! You are such a trojan! Hope this month will much shorter!

Getting excited now about my MW appointment tomorrow. Is it weird to still think that she will laugh at me and tell me it was all in my imagination and I'm not really pregnant? I know it's irrational but I guess I still don't really believe this is all real. After so long TTC I still feel like I wanted it so much that I've dreamt the last two weeks.

aww bless ya LOU, and yes it is completly normal, it wont feel real till you hear the heartbeat or have your scan and even then it takes a while

Im having a wicked AF - TMI ALERT - its very heavy, painfula nd with clots (which ive only really had since having ds2, very weird, i guess its normal!) but i think thats cos theres been 75 days since the last one, does it build up?? maybe maybe not lol.

now im worried because this one was 75 days my wedding is in 72 days so i will be due AF 2 days after but as its so unprdictable im worried it will come on the day or a few days before, last thing i need
so am thinking about going docs a week or so before and seeing if i can get something to postpone it. obviously doing a HPT if it is a long one just to make sure lol

sorry im rambling, i have wedding brain its all i can think about ...oh and AF cramps lol

Thisisme, I'm sure your cycles won't remain at 75 days. Maybe you could see your doctor and have him give you something to regulate it? And you are sooo allowed to have wedding brain . I had 10 months to plan my own wedding, and I could not hold a tangible, non-wedding related conversation in all that time

Lou....question for you. What did you do different the cycle you got your ? Preseed? Softcups? Grapefruit juice? Robutis(whatever)? Maca? I ask because I keep coming across women on this site who are doing all these fancy extras, while I'm sat here in Africa (lol) feeling like maybe I'm not doing enough

thank you for that...glad im not going mad.all i can think about and talk about is weddings, dresses, suits, rings, flowers etc etc i think my friends are getting sick of it lol.

I think im gonna go docs just to see if i can get something that will bring on AF 2 weeks b4 wedding or something to postpone it till after lol.

when i did see the doctors she said that its fine to have long cycles and not to worry! but wouldnt offer any help except lose weight.

lou tried the sperm meet egg plan, first time she tried it (HOPE YOU DONT MIND ME SAYING LOU ) and i know another who tried it too and got PG first time but you need to have some idea when youre ovulating i think. im not 100% sure how it works.

LOU how are you today? i forgot to ask how did your manager at work take to you telling them you were PG they ok about it...have they given you jobs tyhat will make your hip pain less? hope it is too bad. take care of yourself xx

MW appointment went well this morning. She seems really nice so I think we'll get on well. At this early stage there was not much involved in the appointment. She just explained how everything works in our area with antenatal care, filled out some forms and worked out my EDD (23/01/11). That's 2 days earlier than all the online calculators so I'm going to leave my ticker as it is until my first scan cos then I'll have a more accurate date. She says I'll receive a letter in a few weeks and then I'll contact her to come out to the house for my official booking in appointment. I should have my scan soon after. I got my ready steady baby book and my pregnancy record home today and need to fill out all my past medical history stuff before the next appointment.

Thisisme - my charge nurse took it well and congratulated me but I'm afraid as a nurse there is not much work which won't make my hips sore. I only told her so she won't scold me for taking small breaks to keep hydrated and when I get sore.

Isi - Thisisme is right. I did try sperm meets egg plan and it worked first time! Type it into google and you'll find the site.
Just of it is -
1. every 2nd day from CD 8
2. use OPK's everyday from CD10
3. when you get positive OPK, everyday for 3 days
4. Miss a day, then have one last "try"
5. If after 3 months no luck then start using Robitussin

It seems very rigid but I explained everything to DH first so he knew what to do and when. This meant I didn't come out the bathroom and say "we need to do it tonight". I only tried this cos Nessicle who got her on this thread ages ago had also used it for the first time.

Wow, the SMEP! Okay, I guess I better start working on it today, as it's my CD 8. My major problem though is my DH hates planned . He likes it "spontaneous". I just have to try my best seducing tricks.....lol!!! My doctor is monitoring me this cycle, as I'm on clomid, and I'm billed for an ultrasound on Tuesday morning....after which I suspect a trigger shot...... I pray we can catch the eggy this time.

How are we all doing?

glad the midwife appointment went well, makes it seem a little more real doesnt it...the next few months will fly by..so do all the things with your OH that you like to do i.e going out and lay ins because when bubs comes along it does get harder...its so definatly worth it but sometimes you forget what its like to have a life without babies
and you'll become one of those people that seem to have nothing to talk about except babies...whish is all part of the fun lol.

ISI i wouldnt tell your OH just seduce him because if you say he doesnt like to do it as routine it might be hard to explain the SMEP to him if that makes sense?

well witch is still here, im usually done in 2 days but its ok its just an annoyance realy .
I have a prescription from the doctors which will postpone AF so if it seems like i will be having another long cycle at least i wont run the risk of showing on my wedding day but hopefully i will have a normal cycle ...whatever that is lol

Lou i got another prdiction and again this one said i will conceive in august hehe...guess we'lljust have to wait and see!

I totally hear what you're saying about doing all the things we like now. Tried going out for tea the other night. We're not drinkers but we like to go out to eat and go to the cinema. Only trouble is I got half way through my dinner and started to feel sick. Ended up coming home and I'd got a dvd for us to watch together. I barely got half way thru and was sound asleep lol! I think I might need to wait until next trimester before I have the energy to try doing stuff at night.

bless ya...my OH always complained i fell asleep during DVDs lol especially during my 1st 10 weeks or so...but you do get your energy back for about 3 months lol then you get big and cant get your shoes on without getting tired... you're going to love it hehe.

im in 2 minds about august because unless my AF sorts itself out i might have to take the tablets a week b4 the day so they work properly i really dont want to have AF on my wedding day.,..there is nothing worse or more uncomfortable lol. but then if i take them will it mess my chances of getting PG..saying that i get married on the 7th and i'll stop taking them on the 9th so with any luck they might kick off AF or bump OV a bit so august could still be my month lol...im not pinning my hopes on it tho.

weirdly one said it will be a girl and one abioy hehe. maybe its twins

hate the ive been so tired and grouchy because of it....my poor family must think its been a real witch take my place lol.

Afm, well, I had my US today. The good news is that I have 3 nice eggs waiting to pop...bad news is that 2 of these are on my bad side (my left tube is wonky). I got a HCG trigger shot, which should bring on ovulation within 36 hours or so. But guess what!! My DH just found out he has to travel on business tomorrow, to return Thursday evening . I really don't know why I bothered this cycle, really! Seems like wasted effort

sorry you are finding it difficult ISi...your time will come...we all have to believe that. but sometimes it does feel like life just gets in the way of our plans

I think i am going to start taking agnus castus to help regulate my AF...see if i have any luck with that, youre supposed to stop after OV incase youre pregnant but to be fair i never know when i OV so i guess i will take them right through for a few months just to see if i can get my AF regulated if taht works then i will take from CD1 to 14 then stop and see what happens.
I dont mind not activly TTC at the minute as i have so much going on with the wedding and stuff that i cant give it my full attention lol..so maybe its a good time to take th AC i wont stress so much about it not being so good after OV, if that makes sense?

hope youre doing OK lou...and that bun is cooking nicely

i get to see a drawn up design of my dress on monday soooo excited .

Hi,

I would like to join your thread... just has IUI this morning after the understimmed IVF protocol was cancelled so at least there is a little bit of compensation for this cycle!

The sperm count was good at 90 million, some were a little lazy but after having solution threw at them, slapped around a little and spun at 200 miles an hour they soon woke up!

Ovulation should be today and my ovaries are BULGING!
