Anyone tried estrogen supplements to help deal with PPD?

I thought maybe since one of the causes of PPD was supposed to the the hormone drop that maybe taking estrogen supplements would help

As a first resort I was given progesterone pessaries by my gp. I preferred them as they were more natural than anti depressents
