Anyone trying for #2 around cd 4?

Ahhhh that's so lovely - best present ever! Glad he cheered you up. Plus a new house - that is pretty awesome too!! :-) do you have lots you need to do to it? We are slowly renovating our house. I'm just so impatient - so much I want to do and I want it all done yesterday! It has to be said that the house stuff is a very good distraction from ttc I find :-)

I bought my little house 6 years ago, I am pretty much done with projects. We are hoping in the next 4 years to buy a much bigger house with a nice in ground pool....then I will be starting all over to get a house in order! lol It is a great distraction though!

It does need a lot of work too- mainly in the form of interior decorating and the front driveway replacing. We'll have to do it little by little also due to money but I'm like u Fleur and want it all done straight away. Problem is it needs new bathroom, cloakroom, decorating, new carpets throughout etc and all that stacks up cost wise so we'll have to wait. Love doing things up though :-D What are u renovating in your house at the minute Fleur? Castaway- that sounds amazing to have a pool in the future! I'd love a house with a pool!! We've had a fab British summer here this year but now the weather is so typically British. Dark, dismal and oh how can I forgot rain, rain and more rain lol! I'm sure my lo is sleeping so much as its getting so dark at night and in the mornings! I had a cup of hot chocolate last night which I do love when it gets chilly :-D

Hey ladies! Keeping up with the reading but not much chance to post. I was so angry I got sent on a conference right during O time out of the city!! DH drove down with the little one in hopes of BD but she wouldn't go to sleep so no luck for us :dohh: We BD before and after so FX that we got the timing! Find out in a week or so ... I too hate the TWW!! Trying to be optimistic

Looks like you all have some distraction moving and renovating and the little ones keeping you busy! It's so much easier this time around have distractions!
Hope everyone is doing well.

Haha twinks sounds just like ours! Our next project starting next year is to turn our attic room into a bedroom - I can't wait! We have it all picked out just need to get it done!

Sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy. Shame that money doesn't grow on trees huh!!!

Castaway - a pool would be amazing!!!! Your baby would love it!!!

Sparky8795 - that's very frustrating re work! Bless your hubby for driving down!! But as we keep saying - it's not all lost if you don't bd right on o day so fingers crossed for you. I am a bit confused about my cycles but reckon my period could come any time between the weekend and end of next week. I feel pretty calm this month - remind me of this feeling please!!!! X

Twinks-sorry to hear the :witch: got you.At least your mind is on moving so your bfp might just creep up on you.
We have so much we need to do in our house, its a case of bit by bit.The garden needs a lot of work,a new shed etc and its been left half done which drives me crazy!
Castaway- so glad your scan went well and great to hear you get another.
Im on CD18,and in ovulation limbo,i think it might have happened on CD15,but ovufriend is yet to confirm,so im really unsure.I dont think we have :sex: enough either,so need to make sure i do more next month.
Feels like i have been TTC forever, its only my first proper month after the pill!
Hope i can remain as calm as you Fleur!
:dust:

Welcome Mrs W! Gosh that is really good going as this thread is now really long! And you remembered lots of things from the thread. I only read about four posts then tend to forget what it was I wanted to reply to on the first post I read ha ha :dohh: How long are your cycles usually? We might be ov around the same time. I'm on cd3.

Dogtanian- totally get what u mean about leaving projects half finished. Drives me crazy! Lol.

Fleur have u had both peaks and the high in your monitor now? U must be in the 2ww. Fingers crossed

Hi ladies! Mrs w - impressive reading the whole thing!! Nearly 50 pages!! Welcome!! That's funny you come from Witney! Small world! I have a few friends who live there, it's a really nice town :-) West Sussex is lush though - I would love to be that close to the sea!

Dogtanian - sorry you're in ov limbo - I have felt like that the months before I started the cbfm, it definitely helps with making you feel like you're dtd at the right times. W I wonder if that's why I feel pretty chilled this month, because I feel like we dtd pretty much around the right times and couldn't really have done more? I hate feeling like I've not done enough. Anyway hopefully you've done enough, it only takes one! - fingers crossed hon!

Twinks - yep had two peaks and now on low on cd22 so in the 2ww. I don't mind the 2ww - well the first week of it anyway!!!

Cbfm ladies - I will have used 20 sticks this month - !! I have read about how the machine goes on automatic once it gets one peak to give you a second peak then a high then it moves to low; so once you know it's in auto mode you can reuse sticks to save using them up when you know what it's going to tell you - have you done this? I've saved some used sticks this month just in case anyway :-)

Baby dust to all! X

Yes second peak is automatic so after that you can feed used sticks, if this is not your lucky month the monitor should get even better next month!

Thanks castaway that's good to know for definite. I don't reckon we've been successful this month but the monitor does make me a lot more confident about everything.

How are you finding it back at work? When will you tell them you're preg again?

Xx

Twinks I have a trick, I open bnb on my iPad twice so I can read one and type my post in another and that way I can reply to all the posts I want to. Yep, I'm a looser!! Ha ha!

My cycles are fairly regular at about 28 days I think. With my daughter I'd ntnp for 4 months so for the 5th month I decided to full on ttc and took temps, used ff and followed sperm meets egg plan and got preggo!! I reckon I'll ov mid to end of next week, how about you?

Fleur I love West Sussex. I live near chichester and love being by the sea.

Feeling sorry for myself today as am poorly, horrible throat infection. Don't they bring the most delightful bugs home from nursery?! X

Hi, Mrs W.
Nice to have someone new on the thread and near my age lol.
My OV still hasnt been confirmed, its now CD19,and im starting to feel a bit anxious about it all.Been doing internet cheapies as they worked for me when i got pregnant with DD,but the test line never seems to go as dark as the control line,so i really have no idea if its a real positive.Im in two minds about getting a CBFM as i know they are quite expensive.
:dust:

Dogtanian I'm near your age too!!! 32 and a bit :-)

That's frustrating re ov - I've never used the sticks or done charting/temping but I know it can be hit and miss. When did you come off birth control? I have to say I loved using the cbfm for the piece of mind it's given me re ovulation as I wasn't sure I was ovulating.

Also - I didn't ovulate according to cbfm til cd19. How long are your cycles?

There is no denying that cbfm is expensive :-( on amazon they are £60 ish and then £23 for a box of 20 sticks which will last 1-2 cycles. I think you can pick them up cheaper second hand on eBay though? Maybe worth a look?

Mrs w - boo to horrid nursery bugs. I hate them! It's like the second it turned 1 September my dd had the ever present trail of snot return - yuck!!!! Hope you feel better soon anyway xx

I am 33 this Jan, DH is 34 this Dec!!!

I hope you are successful sooner then later, have faith in the monitor it will get you there :)

I am holding off until I get a good scan, the last one was not necessarily putting my nerves at ease. My scan is a week from tomorrow so we shall see if that goes well I will be in my ninth week and will probably tell them the following week when I am about 10 weeks, although I think they may know already. I am kinda showing lol

Haha, forgot you girls are similar age too.
Hubby is 40 on sunday so we are looking forward to that.We are having a meal with family on the day and the next day im taking him out for the day for afternoon tea (we love it and go as often as we can).
My cycle after BCP started on 19th august, and lasted 40 days. Before DD i had 29-31 day cycles and usually ov'd around CD17,so im still trying to wait and see what my cycles go back to,the waiting and seeing sucks!

Welcome! Good to see some people around our age (I feel so old on here!) I'm 33 and hubby is 36.

Thanks for all the welcomes! Am off work today feeling sorry for myself with a horrible throat infection :-(

Fleur ever present snot trail is right ha ha!!

Dogtanian - how funny, in November I'm taking my hubby for afternoon tea for his 40th and the next day we have a family lunch! I hope you ov soon. I'm going to start peeing on some opks in a few days but I never got a line trying for my dd. I considered buying a cbfm and I decided to try sperm meets egg plan first and then if I got a bfn that cycle I'd buy the cbfm and I got bfp that month.

Anyone got exciting plans for the weekend? Xx
