Anyone WTT without AF?

Anyone else WTT but need their cycles to return before TTC because of Breast Feeding, contraceptive choice, illness or other reasons?

I am currently BFing my LO and as yet AF hasn't returned. I want to TTC in 2 months time, but won't be able to if my fertility hasn't returned yet. I am not going to wean LO just to be able to get pg.

I find it very frustrating that when we will be able to TTC is to an extent out of my control. WTT the first time it was just a case of waiting for things to be acceptable to me and then TTC. Although in the past circumstances out of control may have made it a bad time to TTC....this time I physically can't TTC.

A lot of the reasons people wait, such as house's, jobs, education are a personal choice to wait. If I'm still waiting on AF in August then my wait to try is going to be inflicted on me.

Yes I am NTNP at the moment because of my cycles being so bad No need for contraception!

My story is that I came off BCP last July 09 but was irregular before I went on the pill (6 years prior), now I am off it I am worse off. I haven't had a period since stopping my pill last July. Had tests done, hormonal bloods and ultrasound but all normal.. so basically I am stuck until I have been actively trying for a year to which they will send me to a specialist if nothing happens and my periods still haven't returned.

Its frustrating .. but on the upside, I save a fortune in tampons

I am going to be actively TTC on my honeymoon but whether anything will happen or not.. well.. we shall see

Iam in similar boat,Iam still waiting for my a/f to return after coming off both prostap and deppo provera Its really frustrating as i wasnt even trying to fall with my 5 year old twins its just happened and here iam wondering,hoping that my cycle will return so i at least know where iam.Im even considering buying some ovulation tests but obviously dont know if if it will give me any clues just really worried and sick and tired of waiting for things to strt moving i hope you get your soon xx

me, im still waiting for AF while breast feeding, and i want it to hurry up lol, even though im not trying for about 4 months i want it back so i can track it!! im weaning LO onto formula at 6 months anyway before i go back to work so hopefully if it hasnt arrived by then i wont have much longer to wait! but in the mean time were NTNP so you never know ha ha.

i will be waiting for my af to return when i come off cerazette in october. ive heard so many stories. i hope i get into some sort of cycle for when we ttc in december xx

hi.

i had my implant out 8wks 3days ago & im still waiting for AF. i know i can get pregnant without AF showin but i'd like to have at least 1 AF. so we are NTNP at the min.

i havent a clue why AF hasnt turned up yet?! i have done tests but all BFN

I'm in the same boat - no AF yet, although only just had implant taken out. Am really hoping my cycles come back soon, or i'll also have WTT inflicted on me in August when we will 'officially' be TTC. What's worse is OH is very concerned that we might 'accidentally' conceive before we are married and is insisting on condoms

I'm glad to find others in the same boat.

I am currently waiting on an Ovulation Microscope being delivered. I figured without cycles I would end up spending a fortune on sticks. This way I can test every morning and maybe catch that first egg, seeing as ovulation should come before AF. Under £10 for unlimited tests seems a good deal to me....plus I've heard you can also put some semen on it and watch the little spermys swimming around!!!

Hey there. I've been irregular since I was about 16. I was married and TTC with my husband several years ago but nothing ever came of it. In the past in other long term relationships, I had also been TTC (I guess it was a good thing it never happened since they didn't last...) and again nothing.


My last gyn said he thought that I might have PCOS but my last pap I asked him if he saw any problems and he said everything looked fine. (I've always been too afraid of the answer to ask for any more in-depth exams/testing. as I'm terrified of hearing that one I-word that's every ttc woman's nightmare.)

Usually when I live with my little sister, I have my AF regularly... I guess I align with her and it makes my af "work" so to speak.

She moved in with my mother and I a few months back and after almost a year without an AF... bam... there it was again, every month right on time.

I moved in with my b/f about a week after my last AF and... this month it hasn't come around.

So I don't really know what's going on there lol. Anyway... I guess I got off subject so I'll end here.

Celesse - I've not heard of ovulation microscopes before, i've bought the clearblue fertility monitor in the hope of seeing my hormones changing, but who knows?

well i'm not TTC for a while yet, but currently still waiting for AF to return on a regular basis after BF'ing for four months...had first AF 31 days ago (but may have just been a break-through bleed as I went on cerazette, but am off it again now)

How does the ovulation microscope work??

I got my ov microscope today. You have to put a sample of saliva on it each day, let it dry and look at it through the scope. If your fertile the saliva dry's in a fern pattern.

Its not brilliant, but it seems to work. I can just about make out cells in a drop of blood on it!!

I finished by last pack of BCP's on May 23rd, so it's only been 16 days so far. I'm just wondering when AF will arrive for the first time... I've been on the pill for 3 years.

Yes, I'm on Cerazette because I'm breastfeeding, and haven't had a period apart from a couple of days of light bleeding shortly after I started taking it. If we go for another, we'll have to factor in at least a month of using French letters while waiting for my cycle to return: the last thing I want is a baby with no dates, because at my age I'll need to have all kinds of scans and tests at the right time.
