ive tried it on and know which size i need and well its halfing my cost lol as my dress here is a grand lol halfing it to 470? and thats even shipping it at extra cost lol

I've ordered my wedding dress offline from ebay, it's being custom made in china and I got it for £80 lol. It hasn't arrived yet though, will probably take a few weeks.

I hated going into shops...they always made me feel really uncomfortable but I loved my dress I got x

I got mine from preloved. Didn't even try it on and I LOVE it £200 for dress, hoop, veil and shoes when she paid £2.5K a few years ago. Think the dress is about £1K to buy in the sale now!!

I got mine from sellmyweddingdress and, as it was listed locally, went to try it on. I loved it and it only cost £200 when it was worth something mad like £2k! I had no problems with buying online My best friend got hers online too, from Ebay to be shipped over from the States which halved the cost of her dress and she had no probs either. Hope this helps!

the thing is.. im 5 ft...lol so im going to have alot taken off and im between a 8/10 so it will have to be taken in, did anyone have to have it taken in and up..and did a local shop do that? i know id have to pay to have it altered anyway just dont know if it will cost more lol....and just for fun ill posst the dress

I cant order normal clothes online, I need to try them on first, so just couldnt with my wedding dress. Plus I want the whole 'mum crying when she sees me in The One' moment as well xxx

My friend ordered her dress off ebay and had it altered for a small price, and she looked georgous in it, I could not fault it at all the stitching and beading was faultless. Some places will make the dress to order when you send them the meaurements.

I bought mine in a shop just because I had always wanted to try it on before buying, but there are pros and cons for both ways, just go what is right for you, the fact you have tried it on and know your size, I say go for it.

Both dresses are gorgeous! The only thing I would say is that I went into the shop with an exact idea of what I wanted and what would suit me. The lady said that she would ask me to try on one of all the different shapes of dresses (think 7 in all) and then go back to the styles which suited me and look at the range she had in that style. It was so interesting as I have ended up with a dress which I truly wouldn't have imagined suited me and the dress I loved looked awful on me. I am a big girl though so finding dresses is a bit harder but that would be my only hesitation. Plus my dress was only £300 as was a sample one.

My Sister got hers from Ebay (custom made in China).....its was gorgeous and was a total bargain, the only thing id say to watch for, is my sister is very petit and slim so support wasnt a problem, but The bones in the dress werent very strong if your a bigger chested lady!

My sister got her dress from ebay (china) custom made and they make it to the size you ask they ask for lots of mesherments and make it to that. She allso got the bridmad dresses there and 1 of her bridsmaids was very short but a big lady and they made it to fit. My sister did need her dress taking in just because she lost weight after getting it and took it to a dress fitter but didnt say she got it off ebay a lot of people wnt tuch them.
