Anyone's older kiddos in Cub Scouts??

My husband and I enrolled our 6 year old in Tiger Cubs this year, and we were also elected to be the Den Leaders...which shouldn't be too hard, it's just a little scary.

Monday is the annual "Raingutter Regatta" where the boys build sail boats and race them against each other. I know NOTHING about this stuff and my hubby is no better but we feel obligated to help Dylan have a really cool boat since we're the "leaders"

If anyone has ever been through this I would love to hear some tips and tricks. We're painting the boat blue and white and we're naming it "Ocean Shark" and putting a great white shark sticker in the center of the sail...that's all I could come up with lol

just a little update....we finished the boat last night...here is a pic

but...my son woke up this morning with chicken pox so he won't even be able to go to the race...I've never seen a 6 year old more heartbroken
