April Mummies 2011

I dont think he is going through sleep regression (YET) he goes down at 7 and sleeps sitl anytime between half six and half seven!

Maybe a growth spurt though, he had 2 extra bottles yesterday.

But I do think the thing bothering him the most are the two little teeth on his bottom gum!

Will look into the amber things but not convinced by a necklace or bracelet on a little man! Will see how we get on with calpol, teething granules and cuddles for now.

Oh and Jakes thanks, we have some teething toys but I hadnt thought of putting them in the fridge!

x

We have another dribbler here. It's ridiculous! We have 2 bibs on the go everyday & I alternate them & let the other one dry out! The only time he doesn't dribble is whilst sleeping!! The cover on his jumperoo needs a wash even though I always put a muslin over the front!

the tears have started already today! have got him off to sleep on the bottle which we never normally do, FXd he sleeps for a little while so he feels happier when he wakes up x

The only thing that ever works for us with teething was Dentinox gel.

Anyone else think that Bonjela is just rank?

Anbesol is good for teething too. Jaimee started school yesterday. I cried he looked so cute in his uniform. Im really struggling at the moment though ive got a double pram with the buggypod attatched but its rubbish and demi keeps sliding out so i had to carry demi 40 minutes home pushing the double which was a nightmare. Desperately need a triple. Ive seen some that are doubles with a toddler seat which look great but super expensive :-(

Aleena is 5 months today!
Seems like yesterday I got a :bfp: !

Ooo I got my teething necklace and guess how great it works?! It totally doesn't. She drools so much more when she wears it. Its really pretty though... and maybe... grasping here... its helping them come through faster.
Oh and I talked fob into sleeping at the house last night (different beds) so he can spend time with Rosie. He he calmed down a lot. Phew

Sam, Glad you were able to smooth things over for now!

I totally forgot that I had a physical therapy appt this morning! I have to reschedule it now. I'm also going to schedule an appointment to get the Mirena put in. I'm done wavering. I need to just make a decision.

Isis slept so much better last night! I've cut caffeine out completely. I think it was contributing to our sleep problems. On that note, it's been a bit rough this morning without caffeine... I'm on day 2 of no caffeine.

I hope those teeth start popping soon so all of those teething babies feel better!

Ollies 5 months exactly today!
And I got home today! :D

I had my appendix removed on MOndy so still recovering. Quite sore still but ah well. FXd this is the last of the hospital for me!

Ill catch up later. I cant find my charger :/ x

Good to hear you're home and hopefully on the mend gem!

I got lo a necklace and myself a bracelet from Dino Daisy, they're really lovely. Can't say whether it's helping lo as i'm not sure she is teething yet and she still drools a lot but mine helped me really quickly, wouldn't be without it. I know a little boy who wears one, think it looks really cute.

Loopy - what does the bracelet do for adults? I never thought of that!

I got some winter clothes for the kids, today. Soooo cute!!

Ive been reading about baltic amber:
When Baltic Amber is worn against warm skin the natural oils from the resin, containing succinic acid are absorbed by the body.

Baltic amber is the most desirable of the 80 varieties of amber found on our planet because it contains a high level (up to 8%) of Succinic acid which plays a role in the body's Kreb cycle (part of our body's energy making process). Succinic acid has been used for centuries to improve health and cure many ailments.

Baltic Amber has traditionally been used as a natural pain reliever, immune booster, mood enhancer and anti-inflammatory. People who suffer from the following ailments should wear Baltic amber to help alleviate symptoms:

- Dental issues
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Joint pain and stiffness
- Headaches
- Frequent colds or illness
- Ear infections
- Stress and anxiety

I've had serious problems with my left nipple almost from day one, tried all sorts to try and heal it. Got to the point where it was painful but I could live with it and thought I was going to have to for the rest of the time I breastfed, it stayed like that for about a month until I got the bracelet. The day after I put it on the pain was gone and in about a week it had healed pretty well.

wow thats awesome!!!
2 days after we put Aleena's necklace on she stopped drooling ALL the way.
before that I had to change her bib 4 times a day.
Shes also not ramming her fist down down her throat nomore.

We were given an amber necklace for Lizzie before she was born. We put it on I think around 2 or 3 months when she started gnawing on everything and drooling tons. I thought it helped slightly but kind of subjective. Ended up taking it off because it was making my Mom nervous that she'd choke on it and never got around to putting it back on when she was at home (I'm not really worried about choking as the beads are very small on purpose and there is a knot in the necklace between each bead so if it breaks at most 1 bead could be ingested and again they're very very small). I might have to get it back out and see if it helps.

She's been very fussy today, needing constant attention, even when she's down in her bouncer which normally she enjoys she's whining and just not very happy. She also started tugging on her ears while feeding. Is that a sign of an ear infection? SHe doesn't have any other symptoms. Doesn't feel warm but will take her temperature at the next diaper change.

I think I'm getting sick, tonsils are swollen and a bit tender when swallowing. Have to start dosing up on the vitamin c, that usually helps.

Sam, I'm so glad FOB is starting to calm down a bit. I know it has to be very hard on you and you are handling yourself and the situation remarkably well. :hugs:

Tasha, I saw the picture of the buggypod that Demi rides in, took me a minute to figure out what the heck she was in when I first saw it! Hope that you're able to find a pram that works for all three of them soon. Lizzie isn't too fond of the regular carriers (the soft ones like Bjorn, Ergo, Moby) but LOVES her backpack carrier. Does a friend or shop have one that you can try either one of the twins or Demi in? It works great in the stores and out on walks and she is very content in there. Even use it around the house to get some chores down. Just trying to think of some other solutions for you.

Gem, so glad you're home and on the mend. Really hope getting that appendix out did the trick for you! Enjoy your Ollie cuddles!

Happy 5 mos Aleena and Ollie (and the other April babies that have reached 5 mos)!

How many diapers are you guys going through each day now? We only go through 6-8 and I feel like that's not many but honestly I change her every 2-3 hours and immediately after a poo. She's never had a rash, just some redness that went right away with cream and hasn't come back in months.

Loopy that dancing cat is adorable!!
