April Mummies 2011

Awesome I don't feel so far off now lol. I get 3-6oz at 7 3.5 at 11/12 and 3-3.5 at 2 and same around. 5.

I think you're right on. Probably a little more than I get. It's strange, I think Isis drinks more oz less often from a bottle. She likes to snack when I'm around. Also no one can hold her in a cradle hold or she starts getting ideas...

Lizzie takes two 3 oz bottles and one 3.5 oz bottle during the 9-10 hours that I'm gone. I get 4-5 oz at 10:30am, 3 oz at 1:30pm, and 3 or a bit less at 4pm. Just enough to keep her in bottles for the next day with maybe an ounce or two to spare. Although I haven't been able to freeze an extra bottles worth in a few weeks.

I'll be leaving Lizzie for 4 days the first weekend in October () so will need to figure out how many ounces I should leave with my Mom. I have around 30 bottles worth frozen so that should be plenty but I want to try to leave her as much fresh milk as possible so she doesn't get all frozen during that time.

Congrats on the weight loss Sazzler!

Same here. I'm sure she only takes a couple oz from me just more often. Its so puzzling.! Once I get going I manage to pump what she eats and after a couple days the first bottle I pump during the day ends up as extra. Osier is with her dad tonight and I'm working late and I can't pump so here I am with my bedtime milk supply for Rosie and ouchy!!!! I need to pump like now! Can't wait for this meeting to be over

Lizzie only nurses from one side so I know most of the time she only gets an ounce or two from me, maybe a bit more in the morning when I'm full.

The days that I work she seems to like to nurse a lot in the evening before bed and is still waking once and sometimes twice to nurse every night. I don't mind it so much anymore, I think I've gotten used to falling back asleep quickly after she's done. But I do look forward to the time she sleeps without waking for a feed.

Had to let her cry it out a bit tonight. She's been super fussy and not wanting to be put down the past few days and I finally had enough so let her cry in her pack n play for about 10 minutes. Then went up and comforted her and picked her up and settled her, put her back down and after a few minutes she fell asleep on her own with no more crying. Breaks my heart but my nerves were fried and nothing seemed to be working.

I only feed off one side per feed also. And Rosie has had to be left to cry a couple times. Literally nothing would help except crying for (under) 10 minutes... then she ate and was fine.

Well done Sazzle, it's such a great feeling to know your loosing weight. I had a pizza after my weigh in yesterday. Still only 3 slices though and that was 34 points. How can a take out curry only use 6 weekly's? Thought currys were loads more?

Curry is loads. It's really bad! But I had 21 points left for the day anyway due my massive 43 a day! I had a mushroom saag (15) and a naan (12) so only had to use 6 weeklies. Won't be having curry when stop BFing that's for sure!

Urgh ladies - pickle woke up for her 5am bottle slightly early a 4.30 then refused to go back to sleep. She never refuses to sleep :( I feel dead on my feet and my tether is pretty short :(

A mate suggested she is picking up on my stress, I just think she's a big fat cow bag

My OH has taken her out in the pram whilst I ring the Office of the Public Guardian to shout at them for being incompetent

:( oh my god! 2nd night in a row with a max of only 4 hours sleep. Now I have a proper grumpy baby who is having a tandrum and won't feed/ sleep/ play/ be cuddled nothing and he keeps spitting his dummy out which is the only thing that will sooth him.

I'm sooo close to just crying with him , hate hate hate days/nights like this. And there is absolutely no one else around to help me today :(

Oh Caro I wish I was closer to come and help!

Pickle was a pain last night too and she's NEVER a pain over night :( She woke as normal for her bottle at4.30, slightly earlier than normal but nothing to write home about. Then just refused to go back to sleep. She never refuses :( So she finally went at 6 for an hour. Then had just 30mins nap instead of an hour this morning :(

So I got all tough Mummy and got her in a 0.5 grobag and have put her down in her crib for her afternoon nap. I'm not having that again tonight. She napped badly yesterday and I wonder if that impacted on last night.

She had her bottle and I put her in the bag, then she SCREAMED so I gave her some more milk (I've noticed when she clocks it's sleep time she stocks up on milk) and rocked her to sleep. My OH has gone to bed too as he's working tonight so the pair of them are asleep by the sounds of it - YAY!

Let's just hope it lasts more than half an hour!

Feeling a bit like a walking zombie this week been up since 5 every morning to do feeds and get jaimee to school on time
Well done on all the weight losses x

thanks gertrude, not a good day for a few of us! tasha you really are wonder mum!

i got a 10 min power nap! was intending longer but alex only slept an hour and took me a while to unwind from his antics this morning. He still looks knackered but wasn't going back to sleep, he's not feeding well today either :(. Oh well!

At least he's happy right now, bouncing away in his jumperoo. I just find it much harder to be enthusiastic and play with him well when i'm absolutely knackered!

I can't believe what a difference it makes when Isis drops a feed at night! I feel tons better this morning! She's still waking 2-4 times a night and I know she's hungry because she attacks me and latches onto anything she can find! I have marks from where she latched onto the wrong spot and I didn't notice for a while. Eventually she'll sleep, I just keep telling myself that.

Isis most of the time only nurses from one side per feeding.

Gertrude and Caro, I hope your LO's start sleeping better and feeling better!

I hope everyone is ok.
Feel like Ive missed loads.
Im too tired / sore to bother catching up atm still sorry!
But Ill get around to it sooner or later haha.

Hope everyone is well :) -hugs- x

There's clearly something in the air with non sleeping babies. Rex has woke up at 5 for two mornings now. Today he wanted feeding & he hasn't done that for a couple of weeks now. Don't know what's going on! So I've been up since 5 cos my alarm was set for 6.15 to get up & showered before DH went to work & I just couldn't drop back off after being up for half an hour. Managed to have half an hour snuggled with Rex but looking forward to DH getting up with him in the morning!

I started trying to get Rex to nap in his cot this week. He's never done it. Always slept in his swing or on us in the day. But he's too heavy for his swing now! He has gone down in his cot which never happened before but won't sleep for more than 30 mins. I could set my watch by it! And he won't resettle either. What can I do to get longer out of him? I put him down full & dry. He has white noise & blackout like on a night. And I cuddle him til he's dropping off then settle him in his cot. Help!

err not sure sazzle, maybe if you know he's going to wake after 30mins be there to literally resettle him as he starts to stir rather than waking for him to cry so he doesn't properly wake up? i think we have sleep cycles in about 30min stints and some babies don't know how to go onto the next one-or something like that! read it on here ages ago.

good luck! xx

fob had Rosie last night! I still didn't sleep good. IT didn't help that I didn't get off work until almost 11:30pm! At least I got 45 min of OT. He wants me to go with them to Oregon for a couple days but I need to get some work done here- I just took a job that has to be done on Tuesday and IDK if we'd be back by then. Hopefully!! I would really like that so I can go to OR and not have to send Rosie alone. She's going to meet her great Papa from her dad's side. Definitely can't say no to that one. He has cancer really bad so it's important he gets to see her.

Thanks Caro! That's a good idea about being there. I'll def give that a go! Don't know why he can't get off to the next sleep cycle during the day when he can do it at night!

Hi,
Once again been slack I am sorry.

When George and I go swimming he wears a swi nappy and some little board shorts, he looks very cute!!!! We do humpty dumpty, the grand old duke of york etc I just hold him both on his front and back and I also put him under water a couple of times, I go under with him and pull him towards me. My only rule with swimming is the wetter the better!

His teeth are causing less trouble now they have cut through his gum, I cant believe he already has two teeth at just 4 months old!

I am doing good with slimming world another 2lb this week so thats 10 in 5 weeks, clothes are feeling loser and I am feeling fitter too!

x

Sazzle the curry you have sounds horrible lol. I like creamy curry's so I am staying away from them. I've had a weight watcher curry which was nice. With Rex's naps could your maybe try putting him in his cot whilst awake instead of cuddling him to sleep. I always put George down awake, he has a winge but most of the time falls asleep for an hour and half.

Well done on the weight loss Jen.

Sorry for those not getting much sleep :(
